MUCC is awesome! Miya is a genius.

Crystal_Ageha 20th February 2010 04:53 AM

OMG. MUCC used to be one of my very favourite bands.... But the past two albums, every since they started working with Ken, all their music sounds very poppy and...well, Larc-en-Ciel-ish. Which I don't like. :( They're no longer heavy, awesome rock..... I still love their older music though. (Tatsurou's my *****. XD) I just gave up on the new stuff, lol. :X

Yumsushi 20th February 2010 05:05 AM

Actually, that's what I love the most about MUCC. The fact that they are incredibly versatile. They don't need to stick to a certain style because they do so many so well. Even their new albums have harder songs, just not as heavy as before but I think its because their albums have themes.
I personally want them to stay away from the synthesizers because Tatsurou has a phenomenal voice and I too question their Ken collaborations and think Miya is more than qualified to produce for them but hey..

StrawbariSnowAyumi
I don't believe they're considered Visual Kei , rather its Angura Kei.

thank you. i was expecting that eventually lol. thank you ^___~

and i personally adored Kyuutai. and their older stuff i love very much too
i wait for a new album now
although im not so sure i liked Diorama and Freesia a whole lot

Aderianu 23rd February 2010 04:27 PM

hai, I'm a fan!
too pity that I could not go to their concert
I hope they come again

Crystal_Ageha 23rd February 2010 08:33 PM

^ Ooooohh, I knoooww!! When they played in New York, I begged my husband to try and get off work, but it didn't happen. And since I was without a driver's license..... No MUCC concert for me. :cry (Same thing happened with Hikki's concert. D: )

primavera♥ 23rd February 2010 09:39 PM

^ theyre both too far away. my parents would never let me go anyway. maybe if hikki wouldve come southeast US maybe

its frustrating

its sad. one of my friends got snowed in and couldnt go to hikki concert after buying tickets and all.

but really i wanna see mucc

Crystal_Ageha 23rd February 2010 10:09 PM

Man, I actually had another really good chance to see a MUCC concert, too. They were in Philadelphia (I'm in Pennsylvania, so each of these concerts was only a few hours away).... I may have been able to get my grandma to drive me to that one, hah. Because that was when I was living with her, and not my husband. But I felt bad, because I wanted him to go with me, because he's, like, twenty times more a fan than I am. MUCC was his favourite rock band, and top three bands in general. (They've also dropped a few places off his list now, though, since their music has gotten too poppy, hah. :\) Besides, he would have been the only who could have gone with me, unless my grandma decided to attend (she actually probably would be interested >__>).............and that would be even more weird and awkward than going alone, lol! XD

primavera♥ 23rd February 2010 10:12 PM

^oh yeah. their music has changed. as i became a fan during kyuutai period i never noticed until i listened to their older stuff (which i LOVE)

but i still like the newer stuff. except the new new stuff. Freesia is ok but i cant eve nremember what Diorama sounds like lol.

all jrock bands change
ive been listening to old music of jrock bands and have noticed the change in my favs as i have fallen i love with them again.

Crystal_Ageha 23rd February 2010 10:51 PM

They went in a completely other direction starting with FUZZ... Which, I really like that song, and a few others off of Shion. But now their music is starting to lack what made them awesome, and I don't think the last album is as good as it should be because MUCC doesn't work nearly as well with the type of music they're trying to do now.. The only song I liked off of Kyuutai is AGEHA, and I don't like the new singles at all. :( I'll still follow them, but I wish they'd put out another Isho or Waga, Arubeki Basho! Heavy rock and metal is what they do best, of course. It just fits, and they're so perfect like that. Or, if they must be so poppy, at least make it amazing, like Horizont. *_* Because, even though that song isn't very MUCC-ish, it still has the awesome flare a lot of their older stuff had. (They really rock all of Gokusai, even though it isn't the usually heavy stuff. :O)

primavera♥ 23rd February 2010 11:31 PM

^ well yeah. i personally liked it. AGEHA was my fav. but i loved several songs from kyuutai like houkou, hide & seek, and sora to ito. but its kinda my style somewhat. but some like Oz not so much. Shion i like less.

i want another Rojiura boku to kimi e

i like that stuffs a lots

Yumsushi 24th February 2010 01:42 AM

Ageha, to me, is the worst song on Kyuutai! I have too many favourites to list but Ryuusei is at the very top.
The main reason I attended Jrock revolution was to see them and they were BEYOND AWESOME! Totally worth the 16 hours wait in line. I really wanted to try to see them the last time they were in New York but I couldnt make it.
Again, I do agree that their heavier stuff is stellar, but to me, to long as they maintain their unique sound and stay away from synthesizers and Ken, I am happy.

Crystal_Ageha 24th February 2010 02:06 AM

That's the problem, though. It seems like they are heading deeper and deeper into synthesis, pop, and even autotune ( DDDDD: ). And I see Ken sticking around for a while..... Whatever. I'll always end up giving their new stuff a chance, no matter what direction it goes, hah.

I bought the firstLive Chronicles and none of the others. I think their best released tours wrere the Houyoku and the Natsu tour.

paper_doll 1st March 2010 04:18 AM

I still haven't seen Natsu no Tour, yet I've always heard how awesome it is.

Yumsushi 4th March 2010 11:19 PM

You'll love it. The Zuta Zuta and Bouzenjishitsu performances are epic. I havent bought it but I think Im going to give in.

Bad Wolf 7th March 2010 03:33 PM

Ooh, MUCC! They're not my favorite Jrock band but I'm REALLY impressed by their style. Their "heavy" sound can be so ferocious and raw. I like that they're going a bit softer. No artist can keep the same pace for years without growing a little stale.

Corvina 6th June 2010 03:23 PM

Ok, not a pretty active thread, a pity...
MUCC is my favourite J-Rock group, I love them and they're releasing a new single on 9th June.
