Ayumi in SLT = oh, another GaGa copy?
 

Something makes me angry in youtube's SLT preview...

When i first saw the photos/youtube preview of PV i really thought "oh, so GaGa!" but with no bad feelings (i love Ayu and GaGa the same)
but one comment make me feel like "meeh":

People dont understand that GaGa is not that herself at all. She is a HUGE star, and SHE is a product (and i still love her that way, i like her music, and her appearance) They made her like this.

She was producing her own costumes at the very beggining,when no one knew her. Now her costumes are/was designed by McQueen (rip) or any other Prada/Versace/weirdotherexampledesigner.

And the most of the important, Ayu did not did "the weird fashioned" pv for the first time. Costumes in Ladies Night, Alterna, crystal-funny-Ayu in Walking proud, Robo-Ayu in Real me or even the cat in Surreal. (maybe in the more japanese way, but they are freaky) And nobody knew who the f is Gaga back then.

Now they dress her in freaky clothes BECAUSE its TREDNY! not for GaGa only! I hate this specification - like Rihanna clothes and comments: OH MY GOD SHE COPIED GAGA!!!111218328 - Yeah, right, you've got a small mind.

GaGa could be inspiration, but the fact is that it's starts from designers, all over new trends and us - the more we like it, the more "freaky clothes" we will see on everyone, not the GaGa only.

I'll be honest, when I first saw the PV preview I thought "LADY GAGA"

lady gaga is bigger than ayu, of course people are going to say "omg she copied" simply because they don't know ayu or they like gaga more. you don't have to agree with or read those kinds of comments, let alone make a thread about it

I haven't seen the PV and I don't follow Ms. Gaga's fashions, so I really can't say one way or the other if somebody's getting ripped off, but it seems to me that if Ayu doesn't want to keep being accused of stealing fashion tips from Madonna/Lady Gaga/any other platinum-blonde Italian-American dance-pop singer, she had better make a conscientious effort to come up with original outfits that are completely above suspicion. Maybe she doesn't really care what Netizens think about the origin of her costumes, but that's just my 2¢.

She's already dressed up as a leopard; maybe she can dress up as, er, ah, a giraffe?

As for SLT, from what I can make out of the lyrics (waiting for HQ here lol), I think if the PV ties in, it's a bit of a parody of the portrayal of females in the media, especially celebrities.

filmed in 05, released Jan06, before GaGa was even calling herself GaGa.

the problem is, anything that is avant-guard is considered Gaga. She is a big star who heavily relies on this sort of fashion, so people associate Gaga with avant-guard fashion. and anyone who does it: ZOMG it's so gagalicious.

I just think that comparison to GaGa is just ridicoulus, in a world full of fashion-change-like-weather.

Lady Gaga fans are always accusing other artists of copying their "diva" when she is the one who became famous ripping off every single pop icon from the music history, and keeps doing so.

Therefore, arguing with her brainwashed stans is pointless. My advice for everyone is to let them live in the fairytale, believing that Gaga is a genius for making a collage of other people's ideas.

But anyway, a similar discussion came up here and I already said what I think about this Gaga thing, so I'm gonna stop here before I repeat myself any further. :D

this isn't on the same level of "gaga" weird though, but thats a horrible video lol. and weird...
