Well, that was unexpected. But I'm not against her extending her branding efforts - it's worked quite well for Koda Kumi.
Now, let's just hope UN doesn't stand for Urata Naoya :D |
A birthday surprise, cool xD beautiful pic!

thank you for the translation Party_King; I thought this was a sponsorship thing; turns out it's her own brand. good on her.

Interesting she's doing that now, too.
Hope that works out better for her than her brand of lashes (and didn't she have contact lenses at one point as well?). |
There's no way to get it if you live overseas unless you know someone who'll go to Japan, right?

The lashes were Days line..."Gorgeous Days," "Natural Days," and "Royal Days." I don't remember them too well, but I think they were a one-time thing? |
Really happy for some news :) A perfume is interesting.

But if they were successful, why aren't they still sold? With the lashes I think those weren't a one-time thing. I know I've checked them out when I was there and then some day they were discontinued and on sale because of that. 6,600 Yen for a bottle of perfume is expensive, especially cause perfume isn't a big market in Japan. If you wanna check out a nice article about that: http://www.kafkaesqueblog.com/2014/0...rkets-culture/ |
jesus, there's always someone trying to shade her and her endeavours here! why are they even in this part of the forum if they don't stan ayu?
on topic: that's nice! |
^ All of her tie-ins have been so messy over the recent years, so I can't really say why they stopped. They may have also been more successful in the beginning than later on, after a couple of years? Someone else will probably have more insight there.
|
I want it.

Finally! Even though I don't like the name and the design seems uninspired, I'm happy for her.

I remember years ago people wanted a fragrance launch from Ayu.
It's a 50ml bottle so 6000yen (which is coming out at about £45GBP or $55USD) isn't too bad. It's a not high end price but not too low to be seen as cheap either. The branding suits her image now (an A shaped bottle etc would have been amazing in 2000-2005 but would probably seem too much now) and the scent description sounds nice. Not that many of us will get to smell it! |

Also 6600 yen isn’t expensive for a perfume, if it’s half decent. Expensive perfume goes for 150 EUR and more. This is low middle class of perfume. 60-80 EUR is just average...Also eau de toilette isn’t the same as perfume... |
