Y’all don’t deserve it. Lol. I went to the concert and I kind of hope it doesn’t even see the light of day in blue-ray/dvd just so you’ll never get to experience it in it’s full glory.

So ridiculous lol.
Let people have their own opinions about a song (didn’t you use to have IMO on your signature because of this same reason?).

Noooo!!! I loved it!!!:weep:weep:weep:weep

Party_King 11th April 2018 02:30 PM

Like I said in the previous thread in my short review:

how beautiful you are was the most beautiful song for me on both shows.
NEXT LEVEL is ging to follow that than maybe evolution...
ever free was purely amazing, it caught the emotion much more than the original version and i also liked Mad World muuuch better than during AT16 because there weren't dancers on stage...

TO BE was the only song which bothered me both days
A Song for ×× didn't feel honest on the first day and forgiveness was also much better on the second show...

aaand i loved the "choreography time" before Bold & Delicious - i didn't remembered this from AT11...

^^ Mad World was one of my fav performances from AT16, i thought the dancers fitted well here, the choreography with the standing still and making the "shhh" movement while ayu was singing the chorus was very powerful imo! But maybe the way it's filmed on DVD doesn't look that great, they filmed too close.

DEAD :laugh
I haven't listened to it because i want to keep the surprise for July (if she doesn't take it out the setlist....) but if you like it then i'm relieved!

Concept: other people besides you are allowed to have opinions.

ever free is my favorite song by Ayu, and while I love that we FINALLY got a live performance of it, the rearrangement is very different from both the original and HAL's mix. I personally really like the performance from the recording, but it gives the song an entirely different feel, and people are allowed to not like that.

The original mix of ever free is very calm, serene, and melancholy. The HAL's mix, on the other hand (which Ayu tends to use in tours over the original) takes that mood and turns it into something much more haunting. The new PoM rearrangement is beautiful, but it's much more outwardly sad/tragic while the more somber tone of the original is a huge part of ever free's charm.

The Brillante - Mad World - endless sorrow segment from AT16 is one of my favorite Ayu pertormances ever and really powertul and artistic IMO and I only watched it on DVD.

Actually next level is my fav song for this pom as well.

Is there anyone realize that she messed up verse2 with verse1 lyrics lol?
Anyway, the new arrangement is really great for me.

Btw, as Kanariya and ever free were finally in live after 18years, there is still hope for those sidetracks which haven't been in live especially my fav It was, Story...

The live new version of ever free is amazing!!! I couldn't believe what my ears have heard :O I'm stunned.

NEXT LEVEL is also pretty good!

Sky High 11th April 2018 09:33 PM

I love new arrangement of NEXT LEVEL. :)

EndOfTheWorld 11th April 2018 10:10 PM

I liked the new ever free arrangement a lot.:)
It MUST be included on the release. Don't jinx it.:(
I still prefer HAL's mix above the rest though.
I also am curious about the small clips we have from this tour. Does this mean it was recorded already? I would really like to see Ayu's surprise moment on the DVD/blu ray release. Or at least be shown in full instead of news media commentary all over it.

Katsuyuki012 11th April 2018 10:36 PM

That's most likely just some recordings by news stations.

This off-key hot mess of a rearrangement is not the performance of ever free we deserve. But you do you and stay extra; we're used to it around here.

Lol wow people are really bent outta shape after that last comment of mine.

And sure, have your opinion, but if you don’t like it why would it matter if you don’t get to see it then (for those who dislike the new version)? Just be unbothered like RealLight.

As mentioned, I never was utterly obsessed with the idea of her performing the song like a lot of people were, but felt the way she finally debuted it was prime. You get half that somber charm before it launches into an aggressive nature that adds more depth to the reality of what it’s like to lose a person. That dichotomy in energy levels of the song’s performance has an amazing impact! Additionally, I don’t feel her voice would be able to carry out the original or HALS MIX to its full potential, but what it can do is carry it half way and then bring it on home with her more full bodied rock tone.

Love this commentary on the performance and new arrangement.

Also people really around here acting like other people can't comment on or have opinions about their comments. It's more interesting that way anyway. No one is saying they cannot have an opinion, for the couple that implied that.

Xianghua 12th April 2018 03:09 AM

I feel that this version of ever free fits better with the mood/atmosphere of the concert than the original or HAL's mix could have. It's nice that it was arranged specifically for this live.

baby_blue 12th April 2018 04:13 AM

I'm hoping ayu sing more songs that she never sang before...

KPL 12th April 2018 04:31 AM

Do we have a catalog of never-performed songs from ayu?

dreamlover13 12th April 2018 07:40 AM

As if... as in it's been over 19 years since the song "As if..." was released on her debut album and she never performed it. Probably to spite me personally.
