If she treats them like her employees, she won't.

There are behind the scenes videos where she's very strict and demanding. If I remember correctly there's a footage where she made aerial dancers cry or something. Also I think she made her existing dancers go through auditions for her next shows and one of the members didn't make it and had to leave the troupe.

Evan Odinson 12th September 2021 04:31 AM

^So she acts like a normal boss? I don't think that's being mean or nasty, at the end she seems really close with all of them but she still needs to draw a line and they have to fulfill a contract and respond to her, if she feels they can't keep the work rhythm or are not performing as well as before is completely natural they'd get replaced, you can't expect to keep your position forever just because you get along with the boss.

To celebrate the 4th anniversary of "17LIVE", the app users were invited to participate in a "survey of artists who you would like to participate in 17LIVE". Ayumi Hamasaki won the first place with overwhelming popularity. When approached about the project, Hamasaki agreed, saying, "I have felt firsthand that the recent spread of the new coronavirus has restricted the activities of many aspiring artists and performers, so if there is anything I can do to help," and the event was put into motion.
It's great news that she was requested by so many people!

:love It's about time she started her climb into being a J.Lo or a Madonna or a Yuming--someone remembered as a legend, remembered with love and requested for projects like this.

This was because she was searching for new aerial dancers and selected a few, but under them there was one dancer who couldn’t satisfy her enough to be part of the group all though she trained hard.
Of course you’re sad then….

None of those situations were harsh or demanding.

This is literally being demanding. Otherwise you would be satisfied with whatever decent, but not great thing you're being offered.

Exactly but that doesn't make her "mean" or "harsh" she expects certain level (for her team and for this talent show thing contestants of course) and she needs to be "demanding" in these situations, nothing wrong with that.

Evolution7/4 14th September 2021 05:57 AM

Yeah i remember it was that the girls weren't totally ready for the aerial performance which broke their hearts, but Ayu said they could do it for the next concert, which they did. Pretty sure Ayu was emotional about having to delay the performance too. She watched their rehearsal and said they looked like pros, but they just weren't pitch perfect ready for it to be used on the tour. That was the Tour of Secret Documentary right?

Guess she changed her criteria now... I can’t picture the Ayu from that time having the kind of shows she has nowadays. And sorry if I offend anyone.

I didn't use any adjectives that paint her as an evil person, but people got defensive. I just provided examples why I don't think she necessarily will be sweet to contestants (at least if she really cares about the results).

Aderianu 14th September 2021 04:25 PM

I also remember how she said that she doesn't let other people to make a mistake. It was in one of MCs

Evolution7/4 17th September 2021 12:44 AM

I think another thing to keep in mind is at the end of the day, this is a tv show. Judges on talent shows are generally given "roles" to fill. The nice judge, the harsh judge, etc. We will have to see what role Ayu is assigned.
