BUDDHA2 World Premiere Appearance in France

According to the following news, Ayu will be in Louvre Museum in France during BUDDHA2's world premiere. It'll take place on the 27th of January.

「BUDDHA2　手塚治虫のブッダー終わりなき旅―」ワールドプレミア出席が決まった浜崎あゆみ
来年1月27日、同所で開催されるアニメ映画「BUDDHA2　手塚治虫のブッダー終わりなき旅―」のワールドプレミアに出席。声優をつとめる松山ケンイチ、観世清和、脚本の吉田玲子氏、小村敏明監督、森下孝三エグゼクティブプロデューサー、作曲家の大島ミチル氏の参加が発表されていたが、主題歌を担当する浜崎の出席も決定した。

◆「私なりの歌で表現」

同作は手塚治虫「ブッダ」を元に制作されたアニメ映画「手塚治虫のブッダ－赤い砂漠よ！美しく－」（2011年公開）に続く第2弾。シャカ国の王子として生まれたシッダールタが、人々の苦しみと死に心を痛める青年に成長し、何不自由ない恵まれた王子の身分を捨て旅を続ける中で、生と死のドラマが壮大なスケールで描かれる。

浜崎が原作と映画の台本を読んで作詞した主題歌「Pray」は、まだ見ぬ何かを追い求める求道者として、終わりなき旅を続けるシッダールタの抱える苦しみや悲しみ、そして人々の幸せを願った愛を歌い上げ、本編に壮大さと力強さを与えている。浜崎は「原作全巻と台本を読ませて頂いてから作詞をしました。その独特の世界観に惹き込まれ、一気に最後まで読み切り、私なりの歌で表現しました」とコメント。浜崎自身が原作から感じ取った普遍的な愛を歌詞に込め、作品の世界観を見事に表現した。

今回ルーブル美術館で行われるワールドプレミアは、本編の映像及び主題歌が現地メディアだけでなく、アジアを中心とするマスコミに向けて日本以外で初めて披露される機会となり、浜崎は主題歌を通して同作を世界にP Rする予定。
