Her album debued infront of Hitomi Shimatani's best collection. #1 was Mai Kuraki with around 450,000 copies.

In other ORICON Ayu news, No Way to say is currently at #17 in the dailys chart, and Memorial Address is number two. Let's hope M.A. can regain number one!

No Way to say is at #18 in the weekly chart for singles, selling another 12,054 copies. Has anyone been keeping a tally on how much the single has sold?

wow thanks for the info. About 170,000 more then it can reach million copies yay!

Unimatrix Prime™ 7th January 2004 02:07 AM

Isn't this week 3's sales? As I said here, if you added the sales info from the previous weeks, I believe that Memorial Address has sold well over 1 million copies now ;) !

Also, No Way to Say was #1 for the month of December.. another accomplishment for Ayu :) !

12/17/03 210,900 #1

it was not 524028 ???

1st week: 524028
2nd + 3rd week: 306521

:confused

Unimatrix Prime™ 7th January 2004 04:07 AM

For some reason, Oricon shows this past week's sales to be on Jan. 12, but the sales info from the week prior (12/29) was 524,028.

ayu-marco 7th January 2004 04:12 AM

how can we know the first week sales is 201,900???

It was posted here a few weeks ago :)

ayu-marco 7th January 2004 04:42 AM

210900 is the sales of the first day for CD+DVD version
524028 is the sales of the first week for CD+DVD and CD versions

tetsuo69 7th January 2004 04:50 AM

wasnt the first week 500,000 copies... and the 2week said to brake 1,100,000 copies???

oricon is weird.......

can some tell me wats going on... b4 last year ended... we heard her album broke 1,100,000... wats going on??? we about to end 3week.. if i'm not wrong...

Unimatrix Prime™ 7th January 2004 04:57 AM

Wait a sec... is that right? When I checked the sales info for the 1st week, it showed it as 210, 900, but on Dec. 29, the info changed to 524, 028 for the album listings. While Oricon doesn't show Memorial Address on its weekly single rankings, I do think that it's combined CD+DVD sales like you stated.

The figure of 1,100,000 was compiled by Yomiuri several days before Oricon's stats. While Oricon does seem a bit off lately (since it shows these new stats as January 14), I still think that Ayu's Memorial Address has sold at least 1,041,449 when combined with the sales from the previous weeks.

This figure (1,100,000) stated by Yomiuri should be the copies of 1st shipment.

I've kept a tally about the sales of ayu... I'm pretty sure 'Memorial address' is yet to break the million mark.

You combined the J-pop figure and Oricon figures... for instance, those 210,900 copies are into the Oricon figure for 1st week (524,028... CD and CD+DVD versions combined)

351,792... according to my record.

Shiso 7th January 2004 08:36 AM

Hahaha! So confusing!

But the thing is... MA kicks ass!

SpiceSquad! 7th January 2004 11:46 PM

its sooo... confusing..
lets see.. MA sold more than 528,000 copies on its first week...
and now this is MA third week.. but we havent got a clue on how much MA sold on her second week.
well.. i guessing that 324,000 copies is her second and third week sale...

Well i happy with that score.. i think that ORICON combined the DVD+CD and the CD only sale.
