That's crazy. more than a lot of albums released this year.

Amazing! She's really not as irrelevant as some people make her out to be. For a "nostalgia" act to sell even a compilation at this kind of rate is significant.

Heck, I'd purchase an updated "all singles" compilation that includes every single released since *that* compilation.

That's really the problem with anything with an "all" label, when an artist is still producing. This one what, nearly 12 years old now?

I think that's what Ayu and Avex are planning to do. I think an updated version of A COMPLETE or A COMPLETE 2 will be the hot seller Ayu needs to regenerate her career.

I don't think A BEST 3 will sell a lot in this day and age.

She's got "Finally" which btw sold a bit more than A COMPLETE, they're #1 and #2 for digital albums from female artists in the 2019 ranking. I got so happy to see that!!

(But she doesn't have a compilation with "all" or "complete" or similar in her career :P A smart move in this matter was made once by Snow Patrol, they titled their compilation as "Up to now".)

For a compilation released 11 years ago this is truly a success!

It would be pretty cool if A Complete got certified eventually, considering not a lot of digital albums did.

I mean it's an over a decade old compilation so that is nostalgia. but still it does show that people still listen to her and are interested in her music. It can be discounted all it wants but people wouldnt buy it even then if they weren't to some degree interested in listening to her.
