[Taylor Swift] Favorite Album?

If you listen to Taylor, what is your fav album? :)

ayumi_croatia 10th November 2017 08:31 PM

Red and 1989 are my favorites. Voted for Red because it feels more personal. :)

I loooove reputation. it's so good. some tracks are a little bit overproduced but she has some of her best songs there. the first single is also very fun. Dancing with Our Hands Tied is a career highlight

^ I'm actually disappointed in it :D Dunno, it seems so underwhelming in comparison to 1989 which I really love and every track is on point.

ayumi_croatia 11th November 2017 11:33 AM

^^ I'm a bit disappointed too. It's not that great as a body of work. But I agree, DWOHT is a career highlight.

1989 is definitely her best in my opinion.

EndOfTheWorld 12th November 2017 09:37 AM

None of them.:P
I was at the store earlier and her album was being promoted everywhere with posters and stands and special editions of the new album.

"1989" is great.

Maemi 14th November 2017 01:40 PM

I also voted for 1989, it's just perfect :)

Refix 14th November 2017 03:39 PM

Red, a song like All To Well and The Last Time are pure gem. I love emotional tragic songs.

My rank is:

1. 1989
2. Speak Now
3. Red
4. Reputation (it still has to grow on me, so it'll probably go up soon)
5. Fearless
6. Taylor Swift

Speaking of career highlights, Don't Blame Me is up there too. Though I'd love to hear Florence Welch perform it.

I'd also like to nominate Delicate as my favorite upbeat Swift track ever. It's so beautifully poignant. It's the perfect song for how simple it is. And I love the uplifting feel of it all.

Red is exactly what I wanted from her since her debut. I always thought if she mixed a modern pop edge to her country sound it would be amazing, and she finally did it with Red, and she did it perfectly. 1989 felt like it could have been any other pop stars album.

Fearless

I liked her better when she was country, and this album is filled with the tearful ballads I listen to when I need a good cry, White Horse being one of my absolute favorite songs by her so far. Sparks fly is next with such gems as Never Grow Up, Last Kiss, and Dear John.

Red has All Too Well and IKYWT and... I guess I like the cover? I remember when it came out - I discovered Taylor Swift right at her SF release from a Spotify add and was sooo excited for this album and it's pretty much a mess for me. Nothing really sticks out and her lyrics became too repetitive.

1989 (and reputation) simply do not have a sound that is to my liking. The first time I listen to 1989 I couldn't even get half-way through without suddenly realizing I hadn't paid attention for about 8 songs and when I really did try to listen, it was as if I've heard them all before - which, I kind of had. Her newest album is so boring, I gave it a try once, thought Delicate was kind of nice, and don't remember the rest.

Nevertheless, big Swifty over her, just more from the comfort of my own bed. Her music sounds more like a diary and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. And I think I appreciate her live more - she can take any song, even Eminem's Lose Yourself, sit down with her guitar and absolutely nail it. I happen to have a deeper relationship with her second and third album but I am always eager to hear new songs from her (:

Yess!! The song I was soooo on repeat when the album came out.. too bad almost no one likes it :(

My fave album is 1989.. all the songs are great but Out Of The Woods, Style and Wonderland are such highlights :love

So I apparently voted on this poll years ago but didn’t talk about it. I picked Red. It's the best Taylor era for me so far in my opinion and I'm excited for the re-release in November. :luv2

jean-baptiste 19th August 2021 07:52 PM

If the poll were to be updated, I'd choose folklore.

brener 29th August 2021 10:31 AM

1989 + folklore

DonkeyKongRemix 27th March 2024 05:52 AM

Folklore for sure.

But my absolute favorite song of hers is Lavender Haze. I absolutely love Folklore and Evermore. Those two Eras were amazing at the concert...it was like being transported to another world, especially with how different they are next to everything else she's done.

I really love a lot of Midnights, especially just how candid the lyrics are. Even when there are things she conveys that unnerve me or make me uncomfortable, I appreciate her ability to be honest.

I apparently love Reputation more than I ever realized because I found that segment to be absolutely incredible and mesmerizing during the show, and I generally enjoy most of the tracks on it.
