That mix was truly great and I can't believe the quality and creativity to it. I think Ayu would be very proud to hear this one. It's sooo well made.

Best news of the year we finally get those vocal tracks!!!!!!!!!!

Deep snow 11th May 2020 03:10 AM

Love song is so fucking real and raw (the YEEEEEEAHs, my god). it's like listening to her sing right next to me.

DavidChaiLatte 11th May 2020 03:12 AM

It’s crazy how much better the actual acapella version of Poker Face is compared to the shitty unprocessed/dry version on Ayu-Mi-X:

^ idk I mean yeah these new versions are great for listening on their own but that reverb/echo they’ve added really makes it more of a challenge for remixers I would imagine - and considering that’s the point of this whole thing—to use the vocals for remixes—I find it all the more strange.

Edit: HEAVEN is so fking beautiful. You dont even music and it still sounds so genuine and moving

TheRainbow 11th May 2020 06:29 AM

Whoa, this is the coolest thing they've done in a while! Hope someone rips these and uploads them in the best quality possible (if there are no downloads available). :-)

EDIT: They are available! I will keep my fingers crossed for theme of a-nation '03 and Terminal lol.

Evolution7/4 11th May 2020 06:41 AM

The guy who made it still makes music but I don't think he does remixes anymore.

adrtwb 11th May 2020 09:31 AM

They said there’s 100 songs but youtube only has 25?

I think they're coming out in waves. I'm hoping they all come out this week, but it's possible they might spread it out week by week.

News articles aren't all that specific, but just label these 25 as the "first batch."

Yahoo! mentions ayu-mi-x II as an example of Ayu featuring young artists/remixers, and (indirectly) credits her for finding Nakano Yuta, who's gone on to arrange a load of Avex tracks (including Ayu's).

errikkutrancex 11th May 2020 11:13 AM

this is a really good idea from Avex ! :p Hope we'll get good creations : such a long time we didn't get any new good remix.

If this can awaken new talents it’s a great thing especially if later they have the opportunity to work with her personally ! She definitely needs to hire new talents for her music her old teams can’t really bring anything new on the table since they tried nearly every thing with her... and in this case Yuta Nakano is the perfect exemple it was fresh back then and his versatility was definitely a big advantage for him but now after 10 or 15 years his arrangements tend to sound "déjà vu" and not that innovative.

mi|kshake 11th May 2020 11:49 AM

Wow this is so exciting! Been craving a new remix album recently (trance, house, ambient, chill out) so this is great news. Cannot wait to hear what people come up with!

Exactly! Imagine if someone here was selected to be her new composer? Could be an amazing chance.

So is there a deadline? Can remixers from overseas participate? Do they need to upload on YouTube or what's the dealio?

My brother, who'se a local house-DJ and I really want to collaborate to mix a HOUSE-mix but I really can't make up what they want.

I was thinking that too, like the harmonies in HEAVEN and Voyage between Ayu's vocals — like wtf? Just release the vocal stems so people can do it properly.

maxikot 11th May 2020 01:43 PM

There are some really cool works appearing already

You can upload it on YouTube or any social network with hashtag
Didn't saw anything about deadline in the news. Not all tracks was uploaded yet, so I think you have plenty of time. Anyone can participate
