woww what a touching lyric..
thanks so much!
and i think this song is for her mother~

Ack, someone actually compared Ayu Lyrics to Twilight? Sorry, I don't really like Twilight that much...:P
But I agree; I got the feeling that she was talking to her mother in some parts, but then another I was thinking could be about her deceased friend?

The song's and lyrics are really sweet, so many emotional things. So this song is for her mother? Can't understand why she wrote the title Virgin Road...

Thanking her mother for her life, running away from home....it just seem to me like a song from a child to a parent - and it cannot be her father.

Yes I agree with you.
I think Virgin Road = her life. And the road she took.

The lyrics are really nice.

Thank you so much!! These lyrics are sweet.

You are welcome.

I had thought that "virgin road" is a correct English. So I'm a little surprised this time to know it's not so. In Japan, the word "virgin road" is used only in the case of wedding ceremony at a church. It means the center aisle of the church. Usually the bride walks there, led by her father, to the place where the bridegroom waits for her, in the beginning of the ceremony.

jon_the_d 22nd September 2010 01:53 PM

Thanks masa. from what you said about the phrase 'virgin road', what do you think is the reason for this choice of title?

masa 22nd September 2010 02:28 PM

Actually, I was surprised to read the lyrics, because they strongly suggested her marriage to come. At least, they seemed so to me.

k21sh3n 22nd September 2010 02:35 PM

^ now that u've explained the meaning of virgin road, it made me thinking the same thing.. she's saying thanks to her mum for everything because she's getting married..
