Info from Wikipedia

Perfume (パフューム Pafyūmu) is a Japanese pop girl group from Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan, consisting of Ayano Ōmoto ("Nocchi"), Yuka Kashino ("Kashiyuka"), and Ayaka Nishiwaki ("A~chan"). The group has been signed with Amuse, Inc. since 2003 and with Universal Music Japan since 2012.

The group was formed in early 2000 inside young talent academy Actors School Hiroshima, and debuted with their first Hiroshima-local single "Omajinai Perori" released on March 21, 2002. A year later they moved to Tokyo, started to work with Capsule's producer Yasutaka Nakata and released their first nationwide indie single, "Sweet Donuts" on August 6, 2003. In 2005 they got a major contract deal with Tokuma Japan Communications, and released their major debut single "Linear Motor Girl" on September 21. However, it was not until 2008 where the group's seventh single "Polyrhythm", which was chosen to be the theme song of a recycle campaign by NHK, that they started to receive major attention in Japan. The single peaked at number seven on the Oricon charts, becoming their first Top 10 single in Japan, and since then, all of their subsequent works starting with their eighth single "Baby Cruising Love" have debuted within the Top 3 of the charts. Their first original studio album, Game, released on April 16, 2008, became their first number one album in Japan, and "Love the World", released on July 9, 2008, their first number one single. With roughly combined sales of both singles and albums, the group has sold over 3 million records, with 1.5 million albums sold in Japan alone as of March 2012.

The group was formed with an original post-Shibuya-kei sound as it was popular during the years until their transition toward contemporary electronic dance music that incorporated elements of synthpop, bubblegum pop, dance-pop and house music. The group is also known for their processed vocals, heavy use of autotune and vocoders. Over the years, Perfume has been one of the most successful acts in Asian music. The group's musical structure has been identified as "technopop". In 2012 the group announced that they had signed a global contract with Universal Music Group, and that they expected to expand their horizons and "go global".

From the trailer for the live action movie for Chihayafuru:

"FLASH" is simply amaaazing! :luv2 I need to hear the full song ASAP, though! :P But for now, I think the short version will totally do. :D

Isicio 24th February 2016 07:25 AM

FLASH is great but I need more from the new tracks.

Ryusei 24th February 2016 01:19 PM

I hope this isn't the PV that will end up on the DVD/Blu Ray I'd rage so hard lol Also I hope it's not really only 2:13 long...

Isicio 24th February 2016 11:40 PM

^I don't think so xD

Ningyo Hime 25th February 2016 02:10 AM

Flash isnt bad. I think it will grow on me the same way Cling Cling did. I really love CC now.
I would have preferred Display or Ijiwaru na hello to have been on there rather than Hold Your Hand.
I'm glad its at the end of the album though.

Isicio 25th February 2016 12:32 PM

I would like to have Tomei Ningei in the album, so bad is not included.

And I don't understand why they put all the singles songs in the last part of the album and don't mix them with the new songs, only Sweet Refrain with Baby Face and then all the singles and B-sides to the last single till the first single order.

I can't wait to see the covers, and see what external bonus will give cdjapan but I think that it will be a poster like they always give.

I don't have any Perfume album so I want to buy this but I'm so disappointed that the DVD doesn't include any PV of the previous singles.

~kashifaita~ 26th February 2016 06:55 PM

^^^ tbh perfume rarely puts any of their single PVs on their album dvds. They usually only do so if the single PV isn't included in the single's dvd itself. Like for the Spice/GLITTER release, they only put the GLITTER PV on the single DVD and saved the Spice PV for JPN's release. It's a marketing gimmick to get you to buy everything :P

I for one am totally excited about this! FLASH is my new bop and that tracklist looks killer (like a Sweet Refrain mix??? <3 ) I was hoping for DISPLAY to get an album-mix though...

Isicio 26th February 2016 09:13 PM

^Yeah I understand i'ts a marketing gimmick to make you buy everything but at least they have the Perfume clips ob DVD/Bluray so you can have all the MV in one disc.

With 1 MV, 1 Lyric video and 2 lives in the new album you got something to watch so is not that bad at least.

I miss Pick Me Up album mix, but the original is great anyway.

I need covers right now T.T maybe in 2 weeks ?

.

I'm hoping its a poster, I don't particularly have any use for something like a sticker which tends to be a common Perfume external bonus as well

Isicio 4th March 2016 03:47 AM

Yes I hope so too.

The 2 covers are amazing!!

Ryusei 8th March 2016 12:13 AM

Tbh I'm not a big fan of the covers but the full version of FLASH is awesome

Beauty4123 8th March 2016 02:22 AM

Love the CD only cover so very much. :heart Plus, the full version of "FLASH" is incredible! I can't stop listening to it. :love

Ningyo Hime 9th March 2016 07:26 AM

I dont really like the covers an awful lot. The limited isnt too bad but I think what ruins them a lot also is the expectations for these covers. With a name like Cosmic Explorer you wouldnt really expect something like that.
That's just me though. I'm not saying covers always have to reflect the title but the name got me excited for a cool concept.

Chiharo 9th March 2016 08:59 AM

^I felt exactly the same as you! While the covers are good, I really thought they could have done something a lot better and more true to the title. I mean "Cosmic Explorer" sounds really great as a title and it makes you expect something just as cool.

Beauty4123 25th March 2016 12:54 AM

"FLASH" PV (short ver.):

Not only do I love the simplicity of the video, but Perfume & those kung-fu moves...:luv2 Can't wait for the full PV!

taskinillusion 25th March 2016 08:09 PM

Is anyone going to any of their concerts in the States?! Wish I could. Sigh.

Corvina 26th March 2016 12:10 PM

FLASH was released digitally and did you guys see the cover already?
