Gorgeous kimono. Interesting setlist too. Too bad there isn't a new song. I can't open the clip because I'm still at work but I hope she sounded good!

the youtube clip only plays a snippet of July 1st and mostly Boys & Girls... she sounds pretty average.

I can't believe this tracklist, it's so amazing! INSPIRE, Rule and Moment are so good one after the other, and totally unexpected too, and the medley should be fantastic as well! Very nice kimonos!
Well, everything is perfection, and I'm so happy! <3 I'm so waiting for some clips.

i am so so so amazed with the setlist, love INSPIRE! but at the same time i'm kinda sick with the komono thingy as she wore that way too many times... nevertheless she still look gorgeous as always.. :)

I just noticed her July 1st outfit was from FNS this year

The setlist is great. Even if I'm a bit tired of summer songs medley! It seems it's a tradition now.
How could she stand for the heat with that big & beautiful kimono?

That yellow shirt looked better at the FNS, in this a-nation videos the shirt looks too bright because of the lightning...

It's an interesting set-list. I like the red and black kimono. Doesn't it look like she has wings in the second picture?

those are the feather fans the dancers use for moments sif i remember corectly. It kinda does look like wings lol

The black and red kimono may be the same one from her CDL 2009-2010 future classics, I was watching it last night and how its worn, you don't really get to see the black sleeve in CDL09-10 but the beadwork on the red side looks the same as the one she wore at a-nation

It's the same kimono from CDL. You can see that she actually didn't wear the black sleeve during CDL. There's a chunk of cloth hanging loose on her right. Some red squares were also seen at the bottom, however it's not as much as this current performance. And it's also worn during Moments performance. I didn't see anything wrong with recycle costume though. More environmental friendly haha. I'm sure her costume closet is getting too huge by now.

i knew she weared this before haha :D

and for the red kimono:

I always love Ayu wearing kimono especially in red and black!

I like more if Ayu change her kimono to that latex studded body suit in Rule. So hot lol

And talking about this kimono made me want to CDL future classics, I love it so much!

She would melt in that latex jumpsuit, jumping around on stage in the Japanese summer. September is pretty hot in Tokyo! :thud

but she wore it years back in a-nation, remember? Then again, you got the point.

I am surprised she didnt start with Wake me up!! But i am happy INSPIRE got featured! :P

I swear, sometimes Ayu's a-nation performances seem to have more costume changes than her cdl concerts.

The pictures with the black costume look very awkward.
Though the red-black kimono is amazing!
I'm seldom hyped about an Ayu costume, but there she looks perfect!

OMG, that black outfit is AMAZING, it's original and truly fierce! I love it so much!! And on that chair she looks like the absolute QUEEN she is. I really like all of the costumes anyway <3

I think Ayu have used the white dress outfit on her past performances especially a-nation '04. I don't mind it. I actually hoped she'll wear it again someday because i really loved the performance.

Starting off INSPIRE sitting in a chair fits quite good no? :) I always think about the video before INSPIRE AT05 where she's a princess riding through the desert. And then the music starts....

I meant that she was referencing/celebrating the fact that Tokyo was announced just recently as the 2020 host city, not the actual Olympics themselves. :) Who knows, I only thought of it when I saw Refix's comment. :D

I always think about that too! When I hear INSPIRE, the first video that comes to my mind is always the MY STORY tour one, instead of the official PV! XD

Yeah, I recognized the moves of INSPIRE, but the chair always gave me the feeling of "I am the QUEEN, I am the RULE", so I linked it to RULE instead :laugh

That's quite late...but it's better than nothing! Usually it would be around the end of September, but it's September 27th, and before that there was NO ANNOUNCEMENT about a-nation being broadcasted!

Thanks. None of those artists really interest me...god I remember a few years ago when a-nation was all about AAA, Ami Suzuki, Hitomi Shimatani, BoA, Koda Kumi TRF, globe, Otsuka Ai, Ayu etc. and now it's kind of ruined...

I teach Japanese middle schoolers, and I recently showed a bunch of them a picture of Ayu and asked, "Who is this?" Not many of them could say. I realized at first this was because the picture was too old--NEVER EVER single cover--and changed it to a Mirrorcle World cover. Now more people are recognizing her, but when I ask if anybody likes her, the answer is silence.

Young people who like old singers or singers that the previous generations listen to, are rare. Most of them consider them as outdated given that their parents like tem. It's the same in each country. But well, it's only my point of view based on my experience.

And Ayu is not as popular as j-rock bands overseas. But if someone is really into j-music they should at least have listen about her.
It's like I don't listen j-rock or j-pop, besides Ayu, but I can recognize some artist and know many names of them.
If they only see anime, then they'll probably only know some opening/ending artist :P
