omg so cute,yet so useless
I kinda like this idea. I might buy myself a couple so I can have them when I go for a run or a workout. :D
And omg they are really cute too! ^_^ |
^thanks
all preorder links are gone from CDJapan %) |
^
you are welcome. =) I want some, hope I can buy them in Japan. |
Really useless when you have an ipod but cute idea to make money ^^
This concept is just...ridiculous. NO. :no
They are amazing. So cute. Just want to know, how to recharge the batteries?
^in description I found this :
<Accessories> Charging Cable USB, user's manual it has cable for charging ^^ |
yeah..it's really cute...i think most people will buy the best album one
cute but wasted of money
I think they're adorable! If any of them, I'd probably get NL, RAINBOW or A BEST.
I really love the idea of them, the only downside is that compared to a regular mp3 player they're kinda useless............but they're still awesome gift ideas. A backpack covered in these would be awesome!! <3 If they'd only come out when I was still in school........... Are they only limited things or will they stay in print? The wording's a bit confusing....maybe when I finally get to Japan I can buy one :P |
You can also order them from YesAsia! :D

LOL..
it's cute but really, i'd rather choose iPod haha XDDD |

Wow finally Ayu will release this item!
I thought that it was a bonus for Party Queen album -__-" |
ok, how can change the batteries once when it is out of batteries?????
I can't see it like iPod that have a way to recharge?????? |
It includes a USB charger to recharge the batteries with.
this is sooo cute. definitely goin to get a couple of my favourite albums from Ayu =) can't decide which to get
These are so cute!!! does anyone know if the sales of the play buttons will be counted towards oricon?
Unlikely. I think this format is just a bit too out there to be count as an Oricon sale, lol.
If they were cheaper, I think I might consider getting a Memorial address one. |
Quote:
I really want to buy two version of this album but it's all so expensive T_T Must save up! wait for covers |
While I think these are cute...it's completely obsolete, lol.
People buy small mp3 players if they want to carry around lightweight portable music... not pins, lol. And to buy all of them it would cost over $500, lol. I feel bad for the real die hard Ayu fans...who will buy all of these. I'm contemplating buying one just for fun, but not sure. I have no idea which one I'd buy... And I think Memorial address and FIVE should be less expensive, I mean they're the same price as albums with twice the material on them lol. |
Yeah, that's what I was thinking too, but it seems that there's probably a set price for the PLAYBUTTONS. Like, the lowest price they can offer at the amount they're buying them at is 2800 yen, lol.
hmmm they're cute and they can be used as a clothes accessories... if they were cheaper, I'd buy a bunch :laugh
That's pretty cool..
I think only for the hardcord collector though! lol |
I want them so bad, even it's useless...
only Party Queen is kinda worthy...
Quote:
i think this is pretty cool! especially since some people might just want an ayu treasure trove in itself without other stuff (like other songs and files on their iPods/mp3 players). hell, i'd buy this, even though i have pretty much all her albums. it's definitely intended to be a collectors-aimed item. plus technologically speaking, this is pretty bamf. |

i like the idea of these, but they seem a little bit useless. i guess if you look at them as just buttons you can wear as an accessory its kind of cool, and you get a musical bonus! unfortunately, they're a little too expensive in my opinion. if they were maybe half this price i'd probably buy one or two just for the fun of being able to wear it. :yes
I want a MY STORY and Love songs one but I can't justify buying them since they're so expensive. >_>
I think it's somehow environmentally unfriendly...
omg I love this idea!
And the Playbutton website is great lol |

^I just think of the fact that for each PLAYBUTTON, they have to give you the ear buds, the USB charger, etc. If you buy plenty of them, you get plenty of them...

the idea is great but the price is a no go... normal playbuttosn are aroudn 22 dollar, these are around 44 ... not worth it
I know it's impractical, but I can't help wanting it anyway!
Actually think they look quite tacky too.
I really wonder how the sound quality compares with the CD...
According to TA, the playbutton badges will have "exclusive design" on them. Wonder if they are the alternate album covers. Or maybe artistic designs done by ayu! :D
^I expect different placement of album titles %)
useless but terribly cute
......................................... I'll pass. :laugh
This is not useless at all, I think is awesome.
Like someone said is like a collector's item. I will actually buy the rainbow one because I love that album to death. |

From the web, it says Playbutton only supports "ogg" audio format. Is this a good quality format? :/
well, that's good format
up to 500 kbps while mp3 only 320 |
wow, now I know that MP3 players can be so small!
I kinda want one! The songs on the album have to be really good though...I would consider buying A BEST 2.....but the covers aren't so great -_-....what a dilemma
Am I the only one who sees this as a great idea and the perfect chance to buy A best? haha
The only things you get in the packaging are the charger and the PLAYBUTTON. You have to provide your own headphones.
I might just get the A Best button when I'm in Japan
thanks Misa-chan for traslation
What is “PLAYBUTTON”? A special metal badge-button that is actually a music player, available for immediate listening upon purchase. Highly fashionable, the new media is the current hot topic globally. Notes - Playing of pre-installed music is allowed. Pre-installed music cannot be erased. - Date moving, uploading and downloading is not allowed. - There is no extra memory to install more songs. - The unit does not come with earphones. - Please charge the battery before first usage. Additional Items - USB Charger Cable - User Manual |

Ugh, even though these are pretty useless, I can't help being attracted to them. They're extremely cute and it'd pretty neat to wear one of Ayu's albums. (Actually, it'd be a really neat way to show my friends some of her music... even though I have a iPod. XD)

might b grabbing LOVEppears and the new album if the songs are nice =) |

GOD I want them all...! It sucks being a collector sometimes! My GOD, because I know they will sit in my ayu shrine and never be used. LOL WTF.
2800 yen x 18 albums on playbutton = 50400 yen 50400 yen = $661 FFFFFMMMMMLLLLLLL |
I would get maybe Ls coz it's a great album and actually use it. They'd be so cute. Imagine if it broke though, where would you take it? Since it is a device afterall.
Quote:
Haha I have a tough time deciding too, dunno if I should get one or not. And if I do get one, which one to get? 2800 yen is kinda pricey, after all. |

^Playbuttons are limited? What's the quantity?
is there way to order it from the amazon.co.jp from the USA???
Quote:
these aren't limited edition, right? I don't think so...
Despite the fact that most people use iPods and regular mp3 players, this has to be one of the most genius inventions since the toaster. Very fashionable and aesthetic, and very utilitarian (in the short run).
^^I agree! They're cute and unique. Damn I want them ALL. lol
Quote:
^^I doubt they're limited.
Wtf. HAHA. Cute, but really, I wouldn't waste my money on this, even if it was a rare collectible.

Haha, I could by a few buttons and have them all attached on my jacket together. And when I'm done with one album I just switch the earplugs to the next one. xD It would look stylish and have an awesome function at the same time. Quote:
They are great collector items.
What a waste of money for something that looks so cheap and will probably fall off your jacket. And you aren't going to tell the difference between 500kbps and 320kbps :shrug
I would buy one if the price were about 10 dollars. 15 at most. :P

They actually don't look that cheap imo. Then again, how else would you expect a button/pin to look? I hope that people who purchased one/a few show us what they look like! |
The idea is a little silly to me. 2,800 yen? Are they crazy? And please tell me why FIVE is the same price as A BEST 2. This is not the way to sell music, imo. Its like taking a step back. I guess the just look cute if you are the type that feels the need to show off their music.

I don't think that it's being released as a 'new method of selling music' but it's more of a gimmick that's kind of cute and that fashionable people may pick up on.
The entire purpose of the Playbutton as far as I've seen is to go back in time in a way to when you didn't have the luxury of switching tracklists and all that. It's not exactly convenient or anything but I get the concept. |
Quote:
Gah, guess my only hope is that when I finally get to Japan, I may find one in a second hand store xD |
I guess this is just something for fanatics. I would get one too, if it was like $2. Other than that I'd never buy one.

Many people forget that this is an electronic equip instead of just a button. and with the cost of an legal music ALBUM inside which you're paying with. I think that this cost is pretty reasonable. But too unhealthy for the wallets for 18 of these coming out all at once with a new album with so many different editions... it's like they feel that it's the end of the world so squeeze all the $ while you can! |
^I think I might order one Playbutton. How many are you gonna get? :P
Quote:
I think they could add those buttons as free gimmick to a future TA magazine. That would make sense to me. Because it is nothing more than a gimmick.
description on mu-mo says it's mp3 player
well we could argue wether or not it is a just a gimmick
fact is: FIVE and Memorial address are totally overpriced and all the albums besides Party Queen should be cheaper than that, since they ar...you know..old....you can get them at bookoff for 500yen |
Omg that is so cool!
I WANT THEM ALLLLLLLL lol
It is still missing NOTHING FROM NOTHING album ;)
(I have on sale if someone is interesting) |
I think at least the older albums up to maybe like GUILTY or NEXT LEVEL should be at a discount price. smh
