Ayumi, Enrique, & Yoshio?

I was watching one of Ayumi's first performances of Poker Face the other day and noticed that even that long ago she had Enrique and Yoshio in her band. Basically, she's had them in her band throughout her entire singing career. So my question is, where'd she get them? Did she know them before-hand or did Avex just "assign" them together or what? Just wondering if anyone here knew.

Well, Enrique is the bassist (was he a guitarist before hand?), but Yoshio is very famous I think (for what I saw on his site).

Yoshio was popular early in his career for being in a boy band, The Good-Bye. Their most popular song was "Kimagure One Way Boy". He's been in the industry for a while and I also don't have much of an idea how he joined Ayumi's band.

From what I gather, most of her staff have been with her for years, including Peco, who has been with Ayumi since at least 2001.

I think she have worked with the same people since she started. From "Concert Tour 2001" to "ARENA TOUR 2005 ~MY STORY~" it has pretty much been the same people. Even some of the dancer! I don't think she knew them before she started her carreer. I think it's more like AVEX assigned them to her or something like that....

Wow, I didn't know that about Yoshio.
I just figured that there was an audition and they got hired, and there was no need to quit because Ayu became so popular.

Pecco might have joined ayu's team before 2000. 1st seen as backstage organizer for concert tour 2000.

Peco is also a choreographer, which was her function on Ayu's tours before becoming a BG singer.

That doesn't mean shit regarding his ethnic background. He could still have had a Japanese parent and be born in another country...

His full name is Enrique Bojaca if that helps at all.
