There's no cover songs in MY STORY as far as I know, cover songs are in (miss)understood.

oh you're right, sorry my mistake! ^_^

she sings cover ( with her original lyrics) in her "My story", her songs were originally written for Sweetbox, if I remember well ^^

Anyway.. I like more the original version of "Tell me why" than ayumi's try

if you say B&D/Pride, Ladies Night, ITC, Beautiful Day and rainy day are covers - it's the same thing for Memorial address...
use the melody got a new arrengement and new lyrics...

LIST OF SONGS ayu covered on her CD's (use the melody or covered completely):

Sotsugyou Sashin (A BALLADS)
Memorial address (Memorial address)
Bold & Delicious ((miss)understood/Bold & Delicious+Pride)
Pride ((miss)understood/Bold & Delicious+Pride)
Ladies Night ((miss)understood)
In The Corner ((miss)understood)
Beautiful Day ((miss)understood)
rainy day ((miss)understood)
teens (Startin'+Born To Be...)
SEVEN DAYS WAR (crossroad/Love songs)
Tell Me Why (Party Queen)
Happening Here (digital single/A SUMMER BEST)

tell me if theres is any cover missed :D

^Tell me why isn't a cover, it's a melody sold to multiple singers (what is pretty common). I actually wouldn't consider any of the Geo tracks or Memorial Address as covers, as they most likely were bought before the composers versions were released.

Example of the same case:

Yeah...the (miss)understood songs are not covers.

Those are HER songs. She owns the rights to those songs. It could be that she only owns the rights to them in Asia...it could be that she owns them because they changed up certain things so much. Maybe they had a contract that allows both parties to use the songs.

Whatever the case, those are her songs lol

Sotsugyoy? SEVEN DAYS WAR, Happening Here, and I think teens....those are actual covers.

I think we should stop throwing that word around so much lol I don't think it means what people think it does.

emi♡ is right, a song is only an actual cover if the melody and the lyrics are the same. If the lyrics are different then it wouldn't be classed as a cover. Maybe, as someone earlier said, a partial cover. Similar to Faye Wong's take on songs by Tori Amos and Cocteau Twins.

She sung TOKYO and Haru yo koi live in 2003. I know Haru yo koi is by Yumi Matsutoya, not sure about TOKYO though.

Tell me why is 89382938 times better.

Still.

SOSE ME, SOSE ME *sings*

Tokyo was originally by Kuwata Keisuke (best known as the lead singer of Southern All-Stars).

MiiSan 17th January 2014 09:50 PM

^Oh, that's why I couldn't remember the artist (since everybody knows Southern All Stars)

clover_bali 18th January 2014 04:56 AM

just same concept...

OMG, the fashion style doesn't belong to anyone as I think ! The most important thing is to choice the suitable outfits.
Ayu chose her outfits to suit the performances ! It's normal !
