problems playing ayu dvds.

so recently i've been having a lot of problems playing ayu's dvds. i'm not sure why though.

the thing is, i use my laptop all the time to play dvds from netflix and other places without any problems. also, my ayu dvds used to play fine as well, but lately this has changed.

for example, with both next level and r'n'rc the dvds don't like to play automatically (i use vlc media player). i actually have to go thru my computer to the dvd, select "explore" and then double click one of the video files to start the dvd. and once it is started it pauses constantly! its like watching a video online that is constantly pausing to buffer or load.

so i was wondering, is my laptop just screwed up, maybe it has to do with the different region, or has something changed with the way ayu's dvds are encoded or something?

Last time this happened to me, it was because someone'd changed the DVD region -without telling me- in order to play a movie. Maybe that could be it?

Could also just be a random, stupid windows update. If you use windows, that is.

if you buy japanese press and live in US its because your laptop have been set to region 1 ( us region code ) and japanese region code are 2 so in order to play them you need to go through vcl it won't play automaticly .

however if when you play the dvd it does a really noizy sound it might be your dvd player who's damaged

ayu dvd didnt change and the region code for ayu dvd didnt change either .

VLC can play DVDs of any region though, haha.

(Most people who don't have region free DVD software use VLC to play their Ayu DVDs/Japanese DVDs, I think...)

yeah...i've always used vlc.

you know, now i can't get my r'n'r circus dvd to play properly at all. microphone for example plays about a minute and then crashes ever time.

blahhh.
