Special Edition Singles
 

Hello. I have recently decided that because I'm so far behind with Ayumi's music (I only have her Rock n' Roll 'Circus album), that it would be too much for me financially to buy all of her singles. Plus, with all of her singles and PVs being on the albums anyways, I feel comfortable about just buying the CD+DVD editions of albums. So anyways, I was reading on here and on wikipedia that some of her singles such as Mirrocle World, Days/Green, and Green/Days were released as special editions. So even though I'm not interested in collecting all of her singles, I would love to own her special edition singles. Are these two the only ones that are special releases as far as her singles go? Also, will the Moon/Blossom and Blossom/Moon singles as well as the two other singles following be special editions?

it's hard to say because usually her CD + DVD's of singles are not released in limited editions but this time round for MOON / blossom , they're

then again most of the time , her PVs & making offshot clips will be included in her albums

if you're talking about in terms of the special long deluxe slipcase packaging wise , then yes as these 2 were released during her 10th anniversary year 2 years back

I'm definetely going to buy the Mirrorcle World and Days/Green / Green/Days singles since they're comemorative of her tenth anniversary and come in such pretty packaging, lol. As far as Moon/Blossom / Blossom/Moon and the rest of the upcoming singles, I think I'm going to wait it out and see what is done with them before I say I'm definetely going to buy them.

I have these 2 only as like what you said , the packaging's really big & pretty

For me , just her studio albums are good enough for me to own/get lol

I don't know how her 49th & 50th singles are going to be marketed but there's always Overseas Press of her material to fall back on should you ever consider to get MOON / blossom in the near future

special package is only for first press editions,in yesasia and cdjapan first press edicions are sold out...sorry

^ there's always Ebay & other legal ways to get special editions of singles you know :innocent

Thank you to both of you for the information. Fortunately, I'm not too concerned with even first press editions of her singles at the moment unless they are commemorative and have a special meaning behind them like her 10th anniversary singles or her upcoming singles leading up to her 50th (I'm quite sure there will be something special for them but we'll have to see first of course) for example. As you can see, I'm doing anything I can to cut corners financially, lol. But if I ever change my mind, I'll definetely be heading over to eBay, lol.

Would anyone happen to know a website that has pics of all the first press releases of her singles just in case I do decide to get them someday?

ah I forgot to say that you only can find the Mirrorcle World PV in the single itself & that goes for the making offshot clip too >_<

Do both of the singles follow the suit of videos already being on the album DVDs like the other singles? I'm wondering if I should get the CDs if I'll be buying the albums with the videos on them already or getting the CD+DVD because they're her anniversary singles.

Days/GREEN are on NEXT LEVEL, while Mirrorcle World, like Karen said, can only be found on the single. :)

I have 1 1st press / CD + DVD of Mirrorcle World & the other's CD only

I did consider to get a 2nd press / CD + DVD but I realised nah I don't need it , I just need 1 it's good enough

besides the DVD's contents for both Depend on you & YOU versions are the same

KarenPang, we both have similiar tastes when it comes to buying her music. So I'll probably buy just the CD of Days/Green or Green/Days and buy the CD+DVD of Mirrorcle World. Did most of you buy each of the covers for the CDs or CD+DVDs?

if covers are great it's a bonus

the only exception for me is BREAKERZ . I buy all editions of their singles because the way their record label ZAIN RECORDS market them is WORST than avex >_<

can you imagine if all of ayumi's PVs that she made for her singles , the plot for all the singles she released will be different if you buy CD + DVD of her albums ? D: that's what I'm facing against BREAKERZ & ZAIN RECORDS .__.

but anyway ... my advise's to for Days / GREEN's case , just get CD only versions cos both PVs & making offshot clips are available in NEXT LEVEL

if you buy 1 CD + DVD & the other CD only , then you will be missing a making offshot clip in the mix

it's different for Mirrorcle World since like what I said before , only the PV & making offshot clip's exclusively available in the single

those 'special edition' singles of days and Mirrorcle world are not really worth owning, because it is just two cd cases housed in a long cardboard box. it is so difficult to store and takes up so much space. after getting the long box for Mirrorcle world, i got the regular days single.

Thank you all for the information. I actually ended up buying the CD+DVD versions of both Mirrorcle World and Days/Green on eBay for great prices not too long ago. So now I'm just waiting for them to come in the mail. So excited! Can't wait to see the covers in person. Now to see if the MOON/blossom / blossom/MOON singles will be released in special casing.

I just realized I've never heard Life or any of the 10th anniversary re-recordings so when I do get MW and G/D, it'll almost be like buying completely new singles. :laugh
