Do you prefer a remix over an original mix?

Is there any remixes you have come across that you enjoy more than the original mix?

For me, I do have a list.

Dolls "Future Breeze remix"
everywhere nowhere "Norman Bass remix"
appears "Armin Van Buuren remix"
kanariya "system F remix"
Trauma "Jam X & De Leon's DuMonde remix"
I am... "ayu-mi-x 4 Acoustic Orchestra Version"
(even though I really really really love the original mix) GAME "MY STORY ~Classical~ version"
winding road "MY STORY ~Classical~ version"
Together When...x CO-FUSION

not really

the only 'remixes' that I usually tend to like over an original would be if it's acoustic , orchestra acoustic , orchestra

I very seldom like a remix of a song as I'm not a remix person to begin with but it has happened before , like for BENI's case

I like Beautiful Fighters × MSTRKRFT better than the original...
and Greatful Days X PARA ONE
Never Ever [Decoy & DJ Bonka remix]
and Naturally [Wippenberg Remix] though I like the original just as much

that greatful days remix is one of ayu's worst remixes ever.

generally I prefer original mixes, but there are some songs like For my dear or Two of us that I prefer the remixes.

I love trance and most of the stuff on AyuTrance I heard in their remix form before ever hearing the originals. But I don't know if I can say I "prefer" - it's to harsh to say. Lol.

As far as Greatful Days x PARA ONE - It's good after 00:34-2:12. Lol. If it didn't have so much of the skipping nonsense it could have been great. Once the actual beat kicks in it's good.

I always prefer the original version. But the only remix I like to listen to are accoustic or orchestra. But they never overcome the original version.

Aditmi Krisnasaki ~II~ 29th May 2010 11:17 AM

original will always be better than the remix one (even the most beautiful orchestra version one...) :yes

Mayayu 29th May 2010 11:34 AM

Yup many maaaany of them

Appears "Armin Van Buuren remix"
A Song for XX "Ferry Corsten Chilled Mix"
"M" "Above & Beyond Remix"
"Daybreak" "Orion Too remix"
Real Me "Ram Rider Remix"
Connected (Talla 2XLC remix)
Hanabi (Lange remix)
Dolls "Dub's Wax Figure Remix"

AngelSenshi 29th May 2010 12:04 PM

It's never happened that I like a remix more than the original mix. Though I'm sure this doesn't count single versions vs album versions.

There are some remixes I really really like, but not as much, or more, than the originals.

WE WISH -Ramon Zenker Remix-

from RMX WORKS Ayu-trance 3.

This remix is incredible.
I love a lot of remixes, especially Ayu-trance, but this is the only one I actually prefer over the original.

Midori-chan 29th May 2010 12:18 PM

No!

I do love acoustic or orchestra versions of Ayu's songs, but they will never be better than the original songs.

What I really HATE are the "techno-like" remixes. I hate techno and because of that I never listen to any of those remixes!

majrakun 29th May 2010 12:26 PM

Some of them, YES :heart

A Song For XX "030213 Session #2"
Duty "Power Mind Mix" (this one is most definitely my favourite)
Her entire RMX WORKS from CYBER TRANCE series :luv2

Yeli13 29th May 2010 12:44 PM

no more words "Acoustic Orchestra Version"
You were... "Music Box mix -retake version-"
Sunset ~LOVE is ALL~"Orchestra version"

Ooo, I totally forgot about this one! I like this version extremely better than the original A Song for XX. I like it more because of her vocals and the music arrangement is better imo.

CHE.R.RY 29th May 2010 03:33 PM

Actually there are a few :yes...

No way to say (acoustic version) & No way to say (High Contrast Mix) from Ayu-mi-x 6 -Silver-
Dearest (acoustic piano version)
POWDER SNOW (acoustic orchesta version)...it's actually a piano version but it says 'orchestra' in the title for some reason lol!
BLUE BIRD (Harderground Remix) even though I love the original!
appears (Armin Van Buuren Remix) from Ayu Trance 2
Fly High (Voodoo & Serrano Remix)
WE WISH (Ramon Zenker Remix)

..And that's all I can think of at the moment.

It's funny cuz I was contemplating making a thread like this not too long ago, but I thought there may be one already so I held off.

Yeah, same here karen :).

JackieRos 29th May 2010 05:12 PM

A Song For XX "030213 Session #2"
Kanariya (Jonathan Peters' Vocal Club Mix)

I have alot though

noisy_harmony 29th May 2010 06:00 PM

NEVER. No matter how amazing remix is, I have to like original version at first to accept any remix. Even orchestra/piano/acoustic can't be better than original for me, although I adore them.

2Hurt 29th May 2010 06:10 PM

No I never like remixes more than original mix really ^-^

AyaCere 29th May 2010 06:52 PM

Well it depends.
Some remixes have more body than the original mixes. The only ones which come to my mind now are Naturally 'Dolly Remix' and vogue 'Kirari Natsu Ayu Mix'.

Otherwise it only depends on my mood if I listen to a orchestra acouctic, acoustic etc. version. But orchestras are never bad though.
