What Inspires You?
I'm feeling a bit inspired so I just wanted to ask all the different people on here, what inspires you? :D Anything?
EDIT* Sorry I should have said this earlier. ^^ Your inspiration can be from anything, wether it's music or experiences, even to such things as colours or animals, anything that makes you feel inspired in a certain way. |
Well, those are my all time references when it's about pop music:
Ayumi Hamasaki Hikaru Utada Madonna Beyoncé Myléne Farmer Ivete Sangalo Those are the ones I digged the entire discography xD |
Koda Kumi inspires me to work out and be hot and to be happy and cheerful not a miserable person.

Beautiful music, poignant lyrics, realistic movies with a message, classical music like Debussy.
|
^ Amen. :)
Photography and art is also another important two from me. |
Easily ayu. Ayu inspires me so much with what she has accomplished and how she presents herself. Also her lyrics. Like its as if she understands things in a way - can't imagine. She's a writing inspiration to me. Like her lyrics are poetry. If I ever wanted to be a musician its because of her. She's so hard working too, something I wish I could be.
Now. I think she's the only musician who inspires me more than anyone else. Now about other singers... Well I love hikki but she doesn't inspire me much as of late. just respectable. Now another fav musician who's respectable and inspiring is eiko shimamiya. Her music and lyrics are so underrated but amazing to me. She's so poetic and understanding. Now I love MUCC and An Cafe. An Cafe has always shown me just how to be happy. With life and with myself and in general. To have fun and to be enjoyable. Even if they change so much as long as they have that with all sincerity, I can only love them. MUCC, the precious things. Are so deep. Such deep thoughts. I want to be like that. There's so much more I could say about these musicians and there maybe a couple I'm leaving out like Mozart and Beethoven but that's a whole different type of inspiration and admiration for theprecious loves they are So ill stop here edit: wait we can talk about other inspirations besides music??? goodness i could g oon for ages about historical figures who inspire me so greatly. along with historical events and then theres book characters. like Sydney Carton from A Tale of Two Cities is my favorite most definitely. he inspires me so dearly with his sooo amazing personality and dedication and true true love. plus i love Edgar allan Poe. i could go on and on about him. |
Nature and all the obstacles in my life

Ayu inspires me so much~
She's hardworking, responsible, sweet, beautiful, and a wonderful personality :heart She is very talented too. I know many people say she isn't a good vocalist, but I have to disagree. Everyone has their bad times; honestly, she did have some, but overall her voice is very gorgeous. :heart She is an excellent songwriter, though. Brilliant. Her songs make me cry, laugh, or dance like crazy :) She really saved me at one point, which I'm forever grateful for. She is my inspiration, for singing, life, and drawing as well. She's also a very strong person. She got through many tough things in her life, and I respect her for that as well. Losing her father? She cried, she wrote two (maybe more with hidden meanings) songs for him, and she still loves him, even though he left her as a small child. She can forgive people, which I really respect. Losing her grandma and her friend? She honored them with songs too. She wears her "red line" all the time and still loves her friend and grandma. She can remember people who have died and honor them, which I also respect. She lost her left ear. She didn't quit, she didn't retire from singing or try to pull a pity party. She moved on and continued to sing and do what she loved, even with only one ear. She doesn't give up. I respect her for this as well. Ayu is my biggest inspiration, and I'll always admire her for this. :heart ayaka is also my inspiration. She is an extremely talented woman with a gorgeous voice :heart She is struggling with Grave's Disease but she is rapidly getting better and she is getting back on her feet. I admire her for that too~~ ayaka is definitely a big inspiration for me as well :heart Sorry for such a long post, haha~ (^_^);; |
^Amen! If any artist, no matter who it might be, is able to make you cry, laugh, feel happy or feel anything emotional at all, They've done thier job. :) It's artists like that, such as Ayu who I believe are the most original and inspiring. Also the strongest artists in both mind and heart, who are considerate and are able to continue on even though such a traumatising even such as death. That's why I also have a lot of respect for Namie Amuro, who carried on even after her mother was murdered.
I sometimes feel artists don't get enough respect from certain people, considering what they've gone through for thier career and fans. I didn't know Ayaka had Graves Disease? D: |
Lyrics and the melody of a song~!
An Asian drama (lol) And just the weather and colors that I see everyday~ It's all about imagery ♥ |
All kind of art i think, music, books, poetry, drawings, paintings, all of them.
And nature, people. Even television inspires me. |
The whole world inspires me :D but I find more inspiration in books, paintings, music, nature and people
|
Ayu's lyrics, music, and personality. It's because of her that I can be truly happy and do my best in life. She's so inspiring and full of wisdom. ^_^
@captain-kawaii123 - wow great post! I agree with most of what you said about ayu too :yes |
Music, a lot of different music, but usually lyrics inspire me much :)
|
I have a lot of artists that inspire me, probably too many to list. But the more influential ones would be:
-Bjork - What can i say, she's a genius. -Tori Amos - Same -Ayu - for the same reasons everyone's already said. Plus a lot of the difficulties she's faced and that plague her life, I also struggle with. -Kuu - her imagery and the way she presents herself is very inspirational to me. |
Well, with music, it's if I feel the musician actually feels the lyrics they are saying. Like they believe in them, they aren't just singing for money or to be popular. When I come across artsits like that I really want to study up on them to see what they've gone through to see why they are singing these things. You know, I want everything to fit together. Anyway, when I do find an artist, band, etc. like that I feel like if they could say these things to many people, maybe it would make a difference. That is, if it's about the world or society. Another example is if they explain just how they feel emotionally or just their feelings... not about anything in particular. I feel that if a person feeling those same things hears those words, that they'll feel not alone in that way.
