-Tomomi's mother said to reporter that Tomomi's mental is fine, and she's going to her class routinely

-KEIKO isn't happy

I wish it would be true but I think this is just another Chinese tabloid rumor without foundation... if Tomomi makes a return I doubt it would be under avex and not to mention with TK

um sorry to ask - but what;s the story here? who is Tomomi and why/when did she break down/ and who is tk? arent they the same person.

Tomomi Kahala was a very very famous Japanese singer in the 90s. She was produced by Tetsuya Komuro (TK), the legendary 90s J-Producer who produced Namie Amuro, hitomi, globe, and many other famous acts. Her real name was different, but TK wanted her to have the same romaji initials as him, and they eventually became lovers. However, rumors of drugs and partying were everywhere, and eventually they broke up.

It devastated her. She tried committing suicide by gassing herself to death in her apartment if I remember correctly. This was in the late 90s. Just last year, she was brought in intensive care for tranquilizer abuse.

Now she's had an iffy music career since then, but she stopped releasing in 2006.

This is why we're all excited, because Tomomi could be making a big comeback. Her songs were amazing, no matter how bad her personal life was.

ah!. Thanks for explaining. Wow - i totally love Namie but I didn't suppose Jpop tabloid coverage was very expansive. I mean the paparrazi there seem to be a bit more respectful of privacy outside of work.

I guess I'm not as excited about this as I was about the return of other TK acts (Ami...) simply because I could never get into Tomomi's music. =\ I....don't care for her voice at all. All of TK's acts kinda had the same singing style and she was kinda the epitome of it, lol.

I do hope the best for her though. A part of me doesn't really believe this though.
