I don't see how it's harmful.
I think people can do more for each other than protest against animals being skinned and worn, like, you know, help children out who have been starving?
It seems trivial compared to other things.

I love animals and all, but that's me, other people see things differently.

That's like saying cutting off someones arm is a trivial crime compared to all the murders that take place. It's still wrong and horrible.

This is a pretty strong issue, therefore I'm expecting this to be in the trash can.

Well right now because it's concerning Ayu specifically I think it'll be allowed, but that might not last long.

are those foxtails that everybody is wearing now real fur anyway?? I bought one in Japan and it looks and feels super real LOL but it was only 3,600 yen... so I wouldn't expect it to be real.

I'm seriously thinking then that fake fur looks super real nowadays, I mean if all those foxtails were real, they would have to have factories of foxes LOL



EDIT: And between animals and human beings, I rather human beings suffering than animals, human beings are like a disease to this Earth, spreading like cancer all over, killing everything. So yeh. I hate humans and I hate being a human *super strong point of view*

so do the foxtails, they even have like a dried piece of "skin" in the middle, where the "bone" is meant to go lol but it was so cheap! it can't be real fur.

yeah, i have one as well, and it was even cheaper than yours! it looks super realistic though, and also has that dried "skin" on the back. i can't imagine that its real though...but who knows?

I wouldn't mind if she wore fur one way or another. While I am against the abuse of Animals, real fur looks good. :yes :isashittyperson:

No, you're not a bad person. I was looking through some of the fashion magazines in Japan and they are ALL about fur and I liked some of the fur boots and jackets they had, ESPECIALLY this one super cool fur jacket with eagle features at the bottom.

But as far as Ayu is concerned, I don't really care... I mean people eat meat, people wear dead animals, people HUNT animals, people own and care for animals. Humans have been doing such things since the dawn of time. Yes back then it was for survival and now we have alternatives, but I don't find people now any more "evil" for such things than I would people back in the day. I don't condone the torture of animals, either. But at the same time, I wouldn't put down a burger... And if I had the money... I'd buy that jacket...

what it comes down to in my opinion is that ayumi is freaking RICH and i doubt she's out there buying some chintzy faux fur jacket. she's buying the real stuff because she can afford it and i'm sure most designer fashion brands use real fur. i personally don't condone wearing fur and i think the whole thing is just terrible, but its not really my business what ayumi does. and you know, i doubt any of us here have any right to condemn ayu for wearing fur because i bet every single one of you wear leather at the very least. myself, i'm a vegetarian, and i think fur and leather are both pretty awful, but i have no room to talk because i know i have leather belts, shoes, etc. its no different than wearing fur.

and like i said before, i just tend to pretend her items are fake fur, even though i know they aren't, lol. :shrug

anyway, i'm sure this thread is on the way to closed, but about the thread starters original questions, no i don't think ayumi wearing fur would have any impact on her career. there are people who are strongly against it, but the vast majority of people i really doubt care that much.

BTW I'm against animal cruelty and I love animals with all of my heart.
I don't get the point to wear real fur, when there's the faux one in 2010.
But if she wear real fur for business purpose only (like in photoshoots) I wouldn't mind though.
I rather she wearing real fur than beating all her dogs with a club for fun. This would be really bad and wrong.

If she wears fur to photo shoots etc where she might not have a lot of say in the matter: Fine, ok.

Outside of that however I think it's disgusting. I should note that this is because of the way the animals are being treated before they're killed, not the practice of fur it self, I mean, I eat meat, lol.
