code of conduct for meeting Ayu?

I'm not sure if this topic is necessary or not but...

I just finished reading the Ayu in LA threads. It's really quite amazing and unique that Ayu gives her fans so much access. I really hope that in the future Ayu's overseas fans in different countries will have more opportunities to meet her in person. However, I also fear that if a fan is too aggressive or pushy or does something weird, Ayu or her staff will cut off contact in the future.

So, I was wondering about the perspective of the AHS members who were able to meet Ayu in London or LA. Do you have any opinions as to what should or shouldn't be done if we get an opportunity like London or LA again?

Don't bring too many things to get signed because it gives the image that you're just wanting a bunch of stuff signed with intent to sell.

This isn't really a taboo thing, but don't ask too many questions on upcoming projects because she's not allowed to release that kind of information so it's kind of pointless. I did this myself and I shouldn't have!

Other than that, just be cordial and kind... Ayu takes the time to sign your things, take pictures, and all of that. No need to rush her or make her feel uncomfortable. Be patient and don't be pushy!

:shakehead Is this a joke, or was this actually a problem?

(I didn't read the Ayu in LA threads because they would have made me wish I could be there. :()

I think simply treating Ayu with common courtesy would be fine, and keeping in mind that she's awesome for wanting to hang out with her fans, and deserves utmost respect.

I think treat her like a friend. Don't be a crazy bieber fan girl.

That's so true, though!

Bring only one or two things, say thank you and smile. She loves compliments and gifts but don't try to go too crazy, lol.
I should also add that you should quietly savor the moment, because she will only appear for like a minute or two. Wait until she's really gone for you to cry/freak out/whatever.

LOL AND SHOWER.

Please, like, Ayu loves all of you, and she wants to hug you. Please don't smell okay?

And don't do any of them "I'm gonna get 50 million things signed and then sell them on ebay"

Thats the sure fire way to get her to not sign anything.

What?! :laugh

I would imagine that you just have to be nice, polite and use common sense. I know sometimes it's hard to maintain composure especially when meeting Ayu but remain calm and don't send off any creeper vibes... And like emiko says, don't go no where near her smelling funky! Shower!!!!

Do not wear Kumi Koda t-shirts when it comes to a fan meeting with Ayu next time :mgagged

emi♡ 6th December 2010 04:35 AM

^O_o why not.

Ayu and Koda are not rivals. Showing you support one of her fellow "co-workers" is a good thing.

i was not in either LA/London

dress nicely n neat as if you want to meet your boyfriend/girlfriend! hahaha XDDD

NintendoHTF1242 6th December 2010 12:43 PM

It's all common sense. Don't be rude, don't rush her, etc.

and if I'm correct, SURREAL_RAINBOW is referencing to this pic

^ I thought that was quite a common style that western guys took?? but I really don't know! LoL!

Seriously, I would not know how I would react if I really see Ayu in real life. I believe I would be so emotional that I am all teared up!

Well,
1) Treating Ayu with respect is one of the most important code of conduct of all!
2) Smile and say "Thank you!" (to be able to see her up close and in person)
3) Say "I hope to see you again!!" (be appreciative! you don't get to see her everyday on the streets! >_<)

LOL honey, if all Western guys looked like that, I would so not be gay.

On-topic:

- Don't take pictures without permission. I tried to take one and Stan told me "Don't take pictures, please!". So you need to make sure you're allowed to take them.

- Listen to Stan / her other bodyguards. This is probably the most important one. If I hadn't put my camera away, they would've probably sent me away or something.

- Bring 1 or 2 things for her to sign. I was verryy lucky to get both my A BEST 2's (white & black) signed, I really needed to push it like "Please Ayu, they belong together!" :laugh

- If you're about to have a fanboy seizure, CALM THE **** DOWN and wait until she's gone.

LOL NOOO. My fiance takes time to shave his face before he goes to work and yknow, get a haircut every once in awhile and take a shower every once in awhile. He also is agnostic :innocent he'd never be caught dead in that t-shirt (I think it's even a dirty t-shirt)

HYGIENE HYGIENE HYGIENE. Cannot emphasize enough. lol

When you don't know the artist's religious beliefs, please don't give her anything related to it >< It seems like you are forcing it onto her. :no

Make sure you grab her by the arms and shake her vigorously. "WHERE DO YOU LIVE?!?!?!?!?!" *shake shake shake* "WHY HAVEN'T YOU DEDICATED A SONG TO ME YET?!" And then give her an utada album to sign.

jk jk Just be nice.
