Why are all the good artists in Jpop leaving?

Apparently they need to take a break. They've been working hard (just about) non-stop for the past five years, now it's a good time for them to slow down. Eventually they will come back next summer.

It's okay, there'll be back around July IIRC. ;)

They're not leaving. They just want a break. It's only 6 months. Trust me, they'll be back before you know it.

It was announced about two weeks ago. They're going to take about half a year off to take some rest.

This shouldn't be too much of a surprise, honestly. Even for J-Pop standards they've been going at it like crazy. Seriously. 6 Months is more than some people have to wait for ANYTHING new by their favourite artist so it'll pass like a breeze : P

They do deserve it. They've been working a lot, so this break is nice for them.

Now if only Ayu would get the hint.

omg.. that means the only artists who will top the charts now are ARASHI and AKB48 =.=' lame

but overall, i take this hiatus as a good thing, cuz they'll have more time to re-think their career till now and figure out something different for the come back :D

I'm a bit glad they take an hiatus. Their last singles were pretty common. hope they'll make one of their most beautiful single when they'll come back.

I do agree that their latest track of singles didn't have something epic like Hotaru no Hikari, Blue Bird, SAKURA or anything of the sorts... I'm sure they still have it in them, though ; )

i agree with u guys too, these past singles didnt have the power of their first works... they need to rethink their way to compose music :D

and well, selling a million cds with their best album is also a good time to set an hiatus :D

also, they mention some grave news about the groups future/activities will be announced during an all night nippon appearance on the 15th. looks like we'll get a song preview as well.

When you say hiatus in french is meant a break. But the lenght is not automatically specify! I don't know why people think that an hiatus=1 year!
