Max is the overall CEO of avex. Managers are people who manage the individual artistes under avex. ayu has several managers, including Minazou, Kome, Sugi etc...

Max is Ayu's producer which usually means he handles selection of music/images/etc and all that, but he's said that it's just a title when it comes to what he does for Ayu since she produces herself.
