problem with Love Songs track info

Hello there,

Not sure where to put this...

Anyway, I recieved my Love Songs album. Had problems with my radio, so I put it in the computer.
But, here it comes...

My music player says "A BEST" It even says Love Songs is called "A Song for Xx" crossroad as "trust"...

Does anyone has the same wth-thing?

what pressing is your copy of Love songs though ?

I received my Taiwan press / CD + DVD copy a few days ago & yes I also have the same problem as you :x

so no you're not the only 1 who has this problem but I didn't mind so much because when I rip the album tracks using Windows Media Player , I just edit the song titles as so

I had the same thing with mine, and mine is Japan version. I played it in my comp first time and windows media player started up, saying it was A BEST. I've sometimes had this with media player and CDs where it doesn't read the CD properly first time (usually there's no titles/info), but the next time it usually has the correct titles. I had no problems with itunes though, it had the correct titles for Love songs when I ripped it.

What it could be is that sometimes programs like windows media player will download the track-list from their internet database and put the song titles as so. But sometimes it ends up downloading the tracklist from the wrong album, this usually happens when number of songs on the album and the running time for the songs is similar to another album that the artist has.

Thats so weird

Itunes ftw

Had no problems when I tried to rip my album via iTunes. I'm guessing it's Windows Media Player's problem.

Wow, that sounds so weird!

But as long as everything is fine with the CD and DVD, I guess I could live with it! :yes

Pieces_of_SEVEN 7th January 2011 05:46 PM

Wow, that's pretty ridiculous lol

Mine did the same thing, and it's the JPN version. It shows up correctly in itunes, but in windows media player it shows up as being 'A Best'

Though as long as it's correct on itunes, I don't really mind what windows says. lol

Okay, glad I am not the only one.
@ KarenPang, not really sure but I think the first press, because I pre-ordered the album.

Definitely a problem with the database, not your CD, so don't worry. I don't know if WMP allows you to submit revised tracklists to the database like iTunes does, but if so, that might help them correct it (if enough people submit the same corrections). Sounds like an annoying problem, but not really a serious one, since I can guarantee there's nothing wrong with your CD!

That's true, there's nothing wrong with my album, it's just the trackinformation. Thank you everyone, I didn't try it out on iTunes yet, but maybe I will. After all there's nothing wrong with my CD, so I guess there's nothing to really worry about (like StarSUCKER already said: it's more annoying than serious)

Mine in Japan. I wonder if the people with the Hong Kong version have the same problem.
