If so are we counting edits, dubs, radio, extended etc variations of remixes?

You should also include fan remixes...
She has a ton of remixes, I wouldnt be surprised if she were!

Well.. considering the amount of remix albums she has and how much remixes her past singles had, I wouldn't be surprised if she was the most remixed artist counting only official remix and ignoring the variations od remixes u pointed...

Counting only her remix albums and without counting megamixes (cuz I don't know if that is considered one track or not :B) she already has 270+ official remixes... There still is the singles remixes, the vynils, Loveppears CD2...

Still, if we consider fan works, non official remixes, etc, western megastars like Madonna, Michael, Britney, etc for sure has more remixes than her

Concerning Japanese artist ? maybe...but worldwide, no, for sure : look at Bjork or Madonna they really have more remixes than her.

I thought Madonna only had 1 or 2 Remix Albums? She must have had DAMN many remixes on singles and individually released to make up for ayus tons of albums and remixes on singles. I'm guessing Ayu will be at 400+ counting single remixes and only counting one version of every remix.

Well - counting all edits, it is for sure possible. I mean, we maybe have:

SONG X - remix version.

Then there's also:
SONG X - Dub version
SONG X - extended remix version
SONG X - extended dub version
+ an instrumental of all those

etc etc.. there's so many remixes that are alike xD
If counting all, I think it is for sure possible :P
But you are for sure not counting remixes. ^^

i believe I once read an article in a british magazine stating Ayumi to be the most remixed artist in the world. And I believe she has more remixes than Madonna

I am a Madonna fan, but I never knew she could have as many remixes as ayu lol I mean come on, she has tons of remix albums in her discography, can't think of anyone like that
