Artists that got inspired by Ayu
 

First of all, let's not make this into a "who ripped who off" thread, post things you think were inspired by something Ayu has done, not things you think were copied(so, for example, don't post that vietnamese Marionette "cover")

I'll start with two songs and videos I adore but, when I watch them, just HAVE to think "Ayu"

Doda - Bad Girls

This is incredibly "Real Me", both are girlpower songs with similar native language-english mixes, both could easily fit on the RAINBOW album(and both songs have similar endings, the "try me" and "real me"'s at the end of the songs sound really similar to me) and the video...well you see that I guess...

Nana Mizuki - Brilliant Star

Hello M! Similar genre and video just a year or so after M.

I'd be interested in seeing some. The first thing that comes to mind is the bleeding dress for me but I guess that's not THAT rare.

I've noticed that the structures Nishino Kana uses in Japanese for her lyrics are really reminiscent of Ayu's.

Well a balant example for Gaga is the half humen half bike on Born This Way cover, from the clown/half bike on the screen of Lady Dynamite performance in Rock'n'Roll Circus Tour.

^Beyonce used that concept on her I am... Sasha Fierce album era... way before Ayu or Gaga... and still, she doesn't invented it herself either:

Alright this might be a dumb question, but when was the bleeding dress performance, and does anyone have pics? -- this is pertaining to Ayu, btw.

^don't have a pic handy, but it was during "end roll" in from her 2000 Concert (Part 1, I think)

I actually didn't notice ayu was bleeding in that performance until some people mentioned it here years ago lol

It's not too, "bold" or noticeable, specially if people were at that concert and pretty far away from the stage

I follow jolin's career since Dancing Diva era, and never saw all that things people says she does on the same way Ayu does...

Jolin reminds me a lot more of Britney, Kylie or Gaga...
