Ayumi stopped attending Award Shows in 2004. IF she went then only as spectator, she neither performed nor accepted an award.

With that in mind above, I don't think so. It happened on Saturday, but remember she also has that POWER of MUSIC tour too - keep that in mind also.

this. i would love to see Ayu attenting award show again, miss to see her on the red carpet if not as a performer. well may be she's busy with her tour that she couldnt make it

Well, she stopped attending because she wanted to give other artists the chance to win an award. 2000-2004 she won so many awards, there wasn't any surprise anymore and so she declined their invitation and stopped performing and attending.

That's sweet of her, but it'd be nice if she returned to the scene now, even if just to sit in the audience or be a surprise guest performance. However, since she's touring at the moment it's not a huge shock that she didn't go :laugh

VMAJ are a lot more irrevelant to me since Ayu is gone

I'm gonna watch this year VMAJ just because of Anna Tsuchiya, AKB48 and I'm gonna look over for Ami Suzuki because she's a guest artist.
