Just curious....
Ok so I'm not saying I want to be a MOD, but how do you become one anyway?
I've seen a few members suddenly become MODs out of nowhere it seemed & I'm just a little surprised I guess you could say :laugh. So are random users chosen? Is it something you apply for (like a job)? Or do you just simply ask to be converted into a MOD? lol So again, I'm not saying I want to be it's just something I've been wondering about for awhile now. |

Good question! There's a nominations thread buried somewhere, wher you can nominate someone to be a mod or put yourself forward to be one (edit: whoops I missed that Pommy posted it above!). We really like having helpers, and once in a while we will decide amongst the current staff to ask three members to be helpers and they can learn about how the modding here happens :) We then might ask you back for another helper term, and then perhaps offer a permanent position!
Nominating yourself is a good way to highlight to the staff that you're interested so we can think of you when the time comes to recruit helpers. We like to get people that have a bit of experience on the forum so they know how it operates (it doesnt have to be a huge amount, but not brand new), and they've shown themselves to be mature and responsible on the boards and interested in making it a better place! Modding is great fun on AHS - it's why I've stayed years after loosing track of what Ayu's been up to.... |
The system worked that if someone was nominated twice or more to be a forum helper, then they would be promoted as sorts to being a mod. But I think the staff has enough mods for now and only need the extra help in terms of helpers.
And yes; pommy48, ayumisrael and myself were all nominated for this, the thread Pommy has linked has been up since April. |

I'm like you ain't in my ignore list anymore noooooo. I think is awesome that AHS gets help to keep things organize. I didn't know that you could nominate someone O.o |
