Aili was born in Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture. Both parents were born in Yokosuka, and she has a Spanish Portuguese-based paternal grandfather, which makes her one quarter Spanish and three quarters Japanese. She spent much of her childhood in San Diego with her parents, which exposed her to many different international musical cultures. Her father was a well known drummer and was quite famous. Aili studied classical piano at the age of thee, and later on took up the alto saxophone. She is also a professional trained ballet dancer.

AILI is a multi talented superstar. She is a No. 1 producer, arranger, composer and lyricist. She has been writing and composing for many popular Japanese music starts, such as Jamosa, Tohoshinki, Aoyama Thelma, SoulJa, and Goto Maki. she broke into the music industry with her debut album "Future", which included the very popular collaboration song with VERBAL (m-flo) called "Memories Again", a re-written version of EXILE's "Lovers Again", which has been downloaded more than 7 millions times on Chakuuta. AILI sang three songs on her debut album, and produced every track. The remaining songs featured guest singers, which included May J., EMO MARIA, SATOMI, twenty4-7, mihimaru GT, ISHIKAWA MARIE, Dream, Sowelu, Baby M and KEN THE 390.

"Future" was released on the 8th of December, 2010, with chakuuta rankings in the top 7 on the daily chart of 10/27 with a total of 4,924 downloads. During the release of her first album, AILI had her work featured in the latest commercial for "Samantha Thavasa × GLAMOROUS" which co-stars fashion models Iwahori Seri, Michibata Jessica and Hiraka Risa. The backing track for the commercial is entitled Shiny! Shiny! and is part of her collaborative series "AILI thanx to..." and the song includes vocals by R&B singer May J.
