Continuing the discussion. Where we left off is some very controversial remarks regarding Ayu's absence from the Music Station 25th anniversary special...

Geez I just read all the articles on Misa-chan's blog. I'm quite stunned. I'm feeling so angry that Ayu have to put up with all this stress. This whole "rebellious ayu vs. Avex" kind of takes me back to the times of the release of A BEST...

On the other hand maybe, just maybe it would be for the good if they forced her to take a rest? Maybe not for the brand name "Ayumi Hamasaki" but at least she would have time to hang out with her friends, family and Mannie. Maybe she would find a new way to reload as an artist. Or maybe she will be angry and even more rebellious as in 2001 and create amazing music in her fight to find her own way.

I dunno, everything can happen. What I find most likely is probably that Avex maybe will get harder on her (like controlling when she should release etc) and she keeps on going just like before.

YUKARI 18th September 2011 02:56 PM

I think she's tired. She really needs to rest, but not like just for a month or so, I think, she needs to take a break for a half an year :yrolleyes

I feel like she's stepping the Seiko Matsuda level, where she only needs to have tours and new album per year without huge promotion, tv variety shows and etc.

Luvia 18th September 2011 02:59 PM

somehow i think all these are uncalled for...

she is sick and unable to return due to mistakening the flight timing... i believe these are really valid reasons as to why she had no choice to attend MSta performance.

i mean why do they have to go to all the troubles to make lots of wild guesses and assumptions liked it is she who might not want to return to japan... =.="

I agree with you, all of this reminds me of A BEST era..

And I don't know why one of them are talking about AKB48 as a reason that she couldn't get back to Japan at time.. are they talking seriously? >___<

And about all a-nation drama, I think it's unnecesary to mix both themes..

But well, afterall, at this point, I don't think ayu would let avex controll her career so much as before, right? She has matured, she knows what she wants.. She's not that innocent girl anymore. She's such a warrior, and she will do what she wants, as always.

At least, I hope that.

panda♥ 18th September 2011 03:13 PM

^i agree with both of you. i read that people are saying "if there was a chance she couldn't return, why did she schedule a photoshoot?"

that's ridiculous to say, imo. sickness is so unpredicted. you can wake up one day with a horrible sore throat, and nobody has any control over that. i'm disappointed that there are people out there who think this way, and who are actually upset that she cancelled to take care of herself and her health. her health should come before ANYTHING else. plus, she's performed a handful of times before when she was sick anyway, so obviously this was serious enough to make her cancel.

Ayu has always had her own mind and made her own decisions regardless of what others will think. she does what she believes is right, and i'm absolutely happy that she's this way. :yes

AyUmIXx 18th September 2011 03:32 PM

^ agree with you.
why can't those people JUST understand about her situation.
isn't it enough that she has stressed all out to think any ways to get her home?
gosh if ppl wanna see her performing so badly..go attend her POM tour..
can't those ppl think of how much she thinks of her own country when the disaster happened?
why can't they think of her good deeds that she has done so far.
only missed one performance coz of sickness and they judged her that bad?
i wonder what they would judge her if she ever do much BIGGER mistakes like doing drugs, killing someone, in debt, etc.
so silly, seriously.

But now to the important message of the day: Japanese Madonna Hamasaki Ayumi couldn't attend Music Station Special and perform her new song beloved due to bad planning of the flight from New York back to Tokyo. People all over the world now ask for an explanation and apology from Hamasaki Ayumi. Hopefully the reasons for this disaster will be revealed soon."

I know I might be insensitive about this but this is hella funny! :laugh

Okay, THIS?

Insulted ayu: AKB48 the cause of last-minute cancellation of MSta

Hamasaki Ayumi (32), who cancelled her appearance on TV Asahi’s “Music Station”‘s 25th Anniversary Special Programme on the 16th, returned to Japan from Los Angeles from the night of the 17th. Though Hamasaki offered “a deep apology”, her company avex has taken a stance that punishment is inevitable, stating that she will be “dealt with harshly”.

Regarding the reason for the last-minute cancellation, MSta and avex both put out that it was because “her body was weak after contracting acute pharyngitis, so she could not board the flight back”. On the 12th, 4 days before the programme, Hamasaki complained that she felt ill. On top of that, the “special privilege” of closing the programme, which she thought was hers, was given to AKB48 instead. Hamasaki was insulted, and openly expressed her unhappiness to her staff.

However, this problem with performance order “could have been easily solved”, according to a MSta staff. What became a problem with the programme was the reality that she “could not fly back in time”. Even though Hamasaki claimed to have been searching for flights back with all her might, suspicions from some TV staff still abound: “Did she really want to come back?”
Is this even a LAME excuse???

Maybe Avex will postpone all of Ayu's activities to the end of the year like with the Koda Kumi scandal..no Power of Music, countdown live or possible single. Ayu exiled to Mt. Fuji

OyTony 18th September 2011 07:47 PM

She ist doing rehearsals for PoM so I think everything is okay.

ayu_ready? 18th September 2011 07:57 PM

in the entertainment you have to work hard but this japanese system is so peculiar, you really must be a robot. if you're sick or smth it just doesn't matter, if the company orders you what to do.

probably it's another time for her to decide where to move forward and what to do next. it must be good on the other hand, because I think everything happens for a reason. she's really strong I love the confidence with which she responded to these "fans", I wouldn't have so much courage. I think I would ultimately curse everyone, huh.

I think probably it's that time to decide, I wonder what will be next, really. Avex can't really punish her and can punish at the same time. she's the kind of veteran, so probably she has a "special" relationship with them but we don't know, people change, time flows.

I think they have already punished her for some years for giving her such crappy managers and sometimes photographers and little promotion. oh yes they have.

I don't understand the fans. their anticipation is understandable, considering how little we see her TV lives...I'd be angry too, to some extent. buuuuut....now way I'd accuse her of something, knowing how dedicated, responsible, open-hearted and responsible she is!!! it's simply, impolite, ridiculous, stupid! I'm angry with these angry people, LOL.

she was sick but Japanese music industry doesn't care about such things at all. especially this all greedy avex trax.

but there's smth on my mind....AREN'T THERE THINGS IN CONTRACT WHICH ARE USUALLY NEGOTIATED BY BOTH SIDES??? cases like death, pregnancy, marriage and health...AREN'T THERE???

Deibel 18th September 2011 08:05 PM

That article is just a BIG piece of garbage, rubbish, trash, junk...

She went across US looking for a flight to go home, leaving her baggage in NY and was fainting on the way... What do you think? >____<

Well, that's a good thing, because there was actually a month's window between a-nation and POWER of MUSIC for something like what Ayu did...

JinHamasaki 19th September 2011 02:28 AM

This thing is way overblown...

Do you really think Avex is going to punish ayu? The CEO is Max Matsuura! When he decided to leave Avex, ayu sided with him, I would hope that he would side with her in any situation.

The reason he is CEO is because of ayu. The news is just ridiculous speculation and drama. I am unaware of any official responses from avex themselves.

LMAO!

Well, I think the word "punishment" is a bit too harsh. It might be just the management is calling her for a sit-down meeting/talking etc.

AyUmIXx 19th September 2011 06:10 AM

ExodusUK, just out of curiosity.. what ever happened to Koda Kumi? nvr knew bout her having scandal.

ah~ avex won't dare to cancel her tour as the punishment. fans will get angry at avex, not ayu~~
just hoping, ayu would be healthy when she starts the tour again.
