But Mico is a very famous singer, it wouldn't surprise me that Ayu's taken cues from her at all. In fact many hands-near-face Ayu poses from back in the day remind me ALOT of Mico poses.

The first picture reminds me of Kana Nishino as well.

She was stunning after her first plastic surgeries, but then she changed her nose and it all went downhill.

She was seriously gorgeous and adorable.

yeah it's more likely that ayu took inspiration from random photos found searching "flowers in hair" on google than one of the most famous jpop stars of the 60s/70s with a very similar photo/styling and fixation with surgery. thanks Sherlock ~

totally! sometimes you need to have flaws to look perfect, because trying to reach the perfection ou can easily overdo it and end up like her...CREEEEPPPPPYYYY

It is questionable if Ayu was inspired by Mieko, it is possible.., but after looking at available photos of Hirota Mieko during her youth... She reminds me of and resembles Bom Park, post plastic surgery.
