In this list, no other band/groups/solo artists deserve to be #1 other than ayumi hamasaki. I'd like to see Namie Amuro and Utada Hikaru in the top 3 as well. It'd be nice to see Kyarypamyupamyu and Shoko Nakagawa anywhere in that list (where they actually belong in the top 20, but this list is SO BIASED). Frankly, I don't care for the rest.

Those 48member groups in that list.... No mention of 松田 聖子 (Seiko Matsuda) I can't even.

sorry but by profit/revenues/sales alone ayu pawns everyone on that list (well i didn't see b'z or misu so)

Maybe at one time, or all together...But she's rather old, and she certainly isn't raking in the revenue she once did.
It's not that biased. It's obviously based on the demographics of the traffic this site receives. I don't even know who Agnes Monica is :shrug

And...I guess it's not really that great to argue about this, but artists like kyary and shoko in the top 20 is kinda laughable to me. Maybe Seiko can be there...but she's not really relevant now. None of those people have done anything that really changed the scene. To me, that's the only reason why Ayu should even be there.

But surely Ayu's like on her lowest point this 2012, sad because next year is her 15th anniversary. Although like you said at one time, she sold more than anyone in this part of the world, and her legacy proves that. But seriously I can't find any promising stars nowadays. If anyone here knows Charice, I'm really not impressed on her. I mean, yeah she did nailed Whitney's all-time classic IWALY but that's it. It's just the voice, there's no more in her. I dunno i just can't find the thing that Ayu has, or had, on her, or on anyone else. Not sure if I'm just biased or what. Please pull my hand up :thud

But, the top 20 could make me laugh on sad days, it's really that weird and THAT out of place and in certain aspect biased. The top 20? L O L!

Really SNSD in 8th place? Now that is laughable, they should switch place with Kanon Wakashima who currently is on rank #78 (doesn't deserve to be #8 but if SNSD can be, then everyone else can tbh). Utada Hikaru beaten by YUI, absolutely no mention of Namie Amuro? Where is b'z?

But the thing that bugs me the most; 2NE1, SKE48, SHINee, NMB48, SS501, TVXQ, Big Bang, Arashi and so many others. HOW on earth are they even qualified to enter the list? They're groups for heavens sake. ayu's a solo artist. The title says "Best Asian Pop Artist", not "Best Asian Pop Artist(s) and groups".

I have opinions on k-pop groups and ayu and all this mess, but I don't see the point in sharing them atm. It's just a random poll. Not a grammy.

Well, not to mentioning that Agnes Monica and JKT48 is from Indonesia (well, I'm really sorry for my country), many Indonesian tweeters / forums users could just post like this, "hey, please vote for JKT48 or Agnes Monica in here, let's spam the vote, just refresh your browser, if you can't vote again, just change your proxy (you can search free proxy address in google) and press CTRL+F5!!" and voila! at about 200k ++ Indonesian will vote for that artist. (PS: I saw it many times in my facebook feeds)

And for YUI too, her fanbase alone in Indonesian is reaching 20k+. No wonder YUI will get one of the best position than Hikki and ayu herself. That's why I hate internet poll, lol.
