hmv.co.jp

can someone tell me if hmv.co.jp is a safe and reliable website to order stuff from? There is no paypal option so i would like to know if my credit card number is safe... thankyou!

I ordered from HMV Japan many times & I prefer to order from them as compared to CDJapan

Anyway to answer your question , now HMV Japan requires you to key in the 2-3 digit security code that's located at the back of your credit card . In the past , they didn't require me to do it but after they step up their online security , that's in place now since then

Never ordered from them, but have only heard good things.

Personally I prefer YA, CDJ, and amazon.co.jp.

YA offers free shipping but tends to have higher prices.
CDJ shipping is EXTREMELY fast, and I almost always get my stuff on release date. They're quite reliable.

Amazon because they always tend to have LOWER prices, but shipping is probably around ~¥2000

Good luck!

I bought there just 1 time and it was good, but after i try to buy some singles and they rejected my credit card, i don't know what happened

not very sure how much HMV Japan will charge you for the shipping of the book since HMV Japan only utilises EMS

I usually order only singles/albums/dvds from them so for books , I don't know , it's hard to tell even though by default , your screen will shown 900 Yen as the default EMS shipping but in reality it might not be the case

Today,I tried to buy there and when I was going to end,the page said 'ERROR'. O____O

ayuuk 4th September 2012 09:12 PM

I also ordered some stuff from HMV. When I typed my card # they also said "error." Tried several times but still failed. They don't take Diners Club??

Utena 4th September 2012 11:05 PM

what's Diners Club? I didn't have any pb with my VISA.
Ordered a few days ago, the heart nail book just like you :) it was shipped out yesterday and I should be getting it either tomorrow or the day after that!

It's a great place overall, I tend not to buy from them first because they only offer EMS for overseas fans (I'm not often home, and the post office is quite far so if I miss the delivery guy..), and obviously EMS is also quite expensive, but sometimes with their special offers, it's worth it! Another reason why I'm not using them as much is becoz of customs fees (which depends on where you live). If you live in the US, then it shouldn't be a problem :) Otherwise, Idk, it depends of your package's total value & other factors depending on your country's rules, so be sure to check that out! :)

^I thought the nail book is only shipped out on Sep. 13? You are so lucky that it's shipped so early!

I placed my order on the day of the release and they still had it in stock at that time :)

toniayu 5th September 2012 08:18 PM

I don't understand...the item is already in stock but on my account it says that I have to wait until mid september until they ship it...
what does means 'in transit'??

truehappiness 5th September 2012 11:59 PM

In Transit should mean that they have already shipped it to you and it's on the way.
