after only 12 entrys last year... i just want to know if you all want a AHS REMIX CONTEST 2013...

maybe we should offer more incentive this year to get more entrys and to reach new participants!?

maybe we can do it like this: AHS REMIX CONTEST 2013 ~15th Anniversary~ Special Edition
with more prices (maybe if the price is donated by various community members and more)

i want to spent some money for this too ;)

I don't think we can ever really help how many entries we receive...


Maybe we can put together some quick tutorials for common programs, like Fruity Loops or something (or maybe there's something web based?) So that more people could mess around, and just have fun and enter~

I kinda wish they had a mini sub-contest for mashup remixes or maybe start allowing them again then more people would probably be more inclined to enter. But that's just me. *shrug*

yeah' i think of the "Real me/Life mash-up remix" from 2010/2011(?)
maybe we can allow something like this... but it must be remixed ^^

i don't think "normal" mash-ups have to be allowed... because it too easy... :innocent

of course i want it! i think interest may be waning though. it seems like some of the big remixers in the past are less active now. :(

I LOVE Remix Contests! I find many remixes nothing less than professional. But I do have a suggestion: please no more songs that have a thousand remixes both official and unofficial (like Depend on you, Trust, Fly high, Boys & Girls, appears, SEASONS and so on); please do those rarely or never remixed. (FRIEND, ANGEL'S SONG, Memorial address, theme of a-nation '03, Life, my name's WOMEN, Replace, is this LOVE?, (miss)understood, In The Corner, criminal, Pride, Beautiful Day, rainy day, until that Day..., 1 LOVE, momentum, kiss o' kiss, Secret, (don't) Leave me alone, MY ALL...)

Sure. Though I'd prefer a Karaoke one, we haven't had that in a while and it's something EVERYBODY can take part in.

I just realized...Karaoke-Remix contests would be cool...where two people work together on every entry, one as singer and one as remixer...

Yeah it would be really amazing. It would end up being almost an original, new song rather than "just" a remix or cover. I'd totally be up to sing for such a contest, even if I may need some autotuning xD

yeah' more or less the same like my upcoming project...
i took the song melody from Kumi's Love Me Back and wrote new lyrics...
soon i'll record it and make my own track out of it...

Absolutely. I love the remix contest!

The thing is, usually the reason there are so many Fly high, kanariya and SEASONS remixes to begin with is because they're some of the few songs that have official vocal tracks. The only other songs that can have vocals extracted from are singles. So although many of us would very much like to work with other songs, we only have so much to work with.
