The REAL reason for no new PVs on LOVE again
 

I have been thinking and it's quite understandable that there will be no "album" PVs on LOVE again when you consider how lavish, exspansive, expensive, and over-the-top her PVs for the mini albums were... :rolleyes

Kidding aside, I am not that peeved that there will not be any new PVs but I do think it is a bit ridiculous considering the PVs that are included were so unsatisfying. Honestly, this could might be understandable if PVs proceding an album were of extreme quality (my name's WOMEN, fairyland, is this LOVE?, STEP you, etc... or even the quality of the PVs on the album Secret / (miss)understood) but that is not the case here. It's obvious that avex is trying to gain more profit from this album release in order to gain back some of the loss they have taken regarding her recent works.

Dont worry, there'll be PV's from the album tracks on the mini album that is coming up in March and leads into another compilation :innocent

Well, the real reason is likely because there are already enough PVs/clips to fill the DVD. She rarely ever exceeds the number of 'tracks' on the CD with the 'clips' on the DVD.

That and she may have already filmed Melody a while ago, haha.

Yes but Sparkle was filmed before NEXT LEVEL and we still got more with the album. I still find it kind of strange.

Probably they felt like the amount of PVs where enough and would not give ayu much money to film a couple of new ones? And then she didnt want to film poor PVs and decided on just including Melody, which probably was filmed alongside Song 4 U?

Wait, why do you think that? She filmed Sparkle during the usual filming time for album PVs.

I think even with the new PVs, NEXT LEVEL didn't have very many of them.

14 tracks and 12 clips. 3 PVs from singles and 3 for the album with makings for each. Compare this to LOVE again which has 15 tracks and 14 clips with 6 PVs released before the album and Melody added on. It is almost on the level of (miss)understood in terms of video content! Also keep in mind that Ladies Night and rainy day did not have makings because that disc was so jam packed.

I guess she decided the amount of PVs she already had plus the one she probably had recorded before and didn't really use was enough. Or maybe she didn't want those new songs to have PVs. Who knows, it's difficult to understand Ayu's decisions...

Ayu just got lazy tbh. She knows her records will sell with her name alone and she's pretty much tackled anything you could ever find in a PV; so she's like "meh whatever idc *drinks thousand dollar tea*"

Oh yes you are correct on the Sparkle. I thought it was listed as being released on the DVD but taken off rather quickly?

She may have more PVs on the album than usual, but they have all cost significantly less (or at least looked that way) than PVs on past albums. They couldn't even film one PV of QUALITY for this album? As stated, it doesn't actually bother me a ton, I just think the concept is ridiculous. It would be much easier to accept back in the days of quality music videos. They are already saving a ton of money on this release - more so than usual.

The only 'cheap' PV I can think of is maybe Missing, but that has old Ayu vibes, lol.

Unfortunately, with the 'trilogy', that pretty much uses up 3 out of 7 videos... which is why I don't tend to like them all that much unless they may be conceptual or standalone like Microphone/Sexy little things or vogue~Far away~SEASONS as opposed to the one for Love songs or LOVE again.

I think one part of it is that this release was sort of a 'stepping stone' release so that she could release a 15th album this year as well so perhaps more budget will be used towards that as opposed to LOVE again?

Missing is pretty boring but it was quite beautiful. I didn't think it looked "cheap" it was just dull.

I think having one concept for 3 videos is pretty cheap. Ayu used to be able to tell a story in one sitting, and she'd do it in a beautiful and captivating way. Now she can't even get a proper story right (a rather un-creative one at that) with a single concept spanning 3 releases...

Well, there are trends to Ayu's releases and usually she follows them. Lately though, it's been a cluster of "WHAT JUST HAPPENED" due to the 5 releases in 5 months which I don't think I could have ever seen coming nor anyone else, but it's nice to get so much Ayu related information on such a constant basis even if she isn't promoting them at all.

I do agree, I think it's cool. I know it's a problem I have but anytime something like this happens where Ayu really has an opportunity to excel (the "three releases" leading up to 50th single, 5 releases in 5 months, trilogy concept in PVs or film concept, full studio album with all original material) I always think "Wow, maybe they'll go the extra mile this time! This is her chance!" and they avex just putts their way through it. Lost opportunities, stale (and confusing) storylines... It's like they never take full advantage. I still appreciate the releases regardless, but I'm the type of person who 'goes big' in everything I do. "If you can't do it right, why do it at all?" mentality... So I can't help but grind my teeth when I see so much more potential.

I think that they know that this album is going to sell between 100k and 150k at its best so they aren't taking chances here imo.

But still, so far very bad marketing. 2012 was ayu's worst year for marketing imo, and they kept trying to milk fans shamelessly. I can't believe that I bought A SUMMER BEST because of You & Me and now they are adding that into this new album... I mean come on.

And this new album should at least have 3 new pvs, and why couldn't they make more? they could have even made cheaper pvs but they didn't even try...

I hope that after this release they get what they wanted so they can move on and not bring up things that we have already purchased to put into new releases, just no.

The PVs on this era aren't cheap, but they are boring.
Anyway, maybe she can't film more PVs for her personal problems

Party Queen have ALL new songs and 4 new pv's with 4 makings, so what's the problem now with LOVE again? she released 2 Minis and put them in an album, is like she was released 1 double A side single and 3 singles more with one PV, and for the new album includes 1 new PV ''Melody'' and the hit summer song You&Me pv too, I don't see the problem here really.

Well, it will be one stressful 15th Anniversary for Ayu if she filmed more PV's... i'm quite content with the amount of PV's with this album...

Plus Avex's budget isn't really doing well either...So... yeah...

What about all the millions they made off of Namie's ass?
