Worth buying Audiophile speakers for Ayu Trance?

Hi all,

hopefully there are some audiophiles here. I have been wanting to buy some decent monitors around 2K price purely for ayu trance near-field listing. Currently I'm with some entry level $400 speakers. My theory is the distortion in these is seriously fatiguing me with long listening sessions at high volumes.

After 100's-1000's of listens of a song it seems like the sound quality needs to improve. Its just not as good as the first 20-50x of listening was. Which is why I want to get some higher Q speakers.

But my concern is it seems the cd's are mastered too loud? Arguable the vocals are not as clear as the pop cds as they don't have so much of the trance.

Any advice is appreciated. thank you.

Idk too perfectly, but I have the BOSE in-ear earphones, and they sound GREAT on everything I listen to. The ayu trance DOES sound pretty amazing.

If it's a CD manufactured after about 1997, audiophile anything isn't gonna help that much once you've gotten high-quality normal-person equipment. Once you reach that point, it's time to go analog.

Purchasing The M EP (which includes extended versions of a bunch of Ayu Trance) and listening to THAT with audiophile equipment is so, so worth it. The M EP isn't even that expensive. I got mine on musicstack for about $15. Other Drizzly vinyls are very inexpensive and very worth the investment if you like those trance tracks.
