HD for overseas fans !

Hello everybody,

I think we could start an online petition against Avex Taiwan : we come to the end of 2013 and they still haven't release Ayu's concerts on blu-ray...

Why should overseas fans be deprived of HD ?

Nothing ventured nothing gained ! ;)

Maybe because the Blu-Ray that they release is Region Free, so, unlike DVDs, there's no need to release an OS version?

:shrug

I know that, but Avex Taiwan manufactures its own CDs (which are also region free... lol) so why not Blu-Rays ?
It would be cheaper and I think a lot of us could enjoy HD !

Personally, I can not afford to spend 60€ for a blu-ray... :(

Because they have to buy copyrights from Avex Japan

You can just download and save up till you can buy it~

That's strange because these two record labels are part of the Avex Group...

honestly I think its because she is a Japanese artist. They dont have to carter to her international fan base. and those releases were just for the fans.
Which when they talk about fans they talk about their japanese fans.

plus even if Avex Taiwan approached Avex Japan, Avex Japan may have already declined to sell the right due to the blu-ray discs being region free plus Avex loves its money. One version works for all, why would they make the same cheaper one. Also blu-rays players are still considered a extra, with not everyone having one freely available. If majority of her sales were blu-ray then we might see a change

Probably because they consider it won't sell enough to make it worth producing the blu-ray as well. Even in Japan the blu-ray versions still sell a lot less than the DVD versions, maybe in Taiwan they consider it wouldn't sell a significant amount...

Neiluj 10th October 2013 08:42 PM

Probably, but it's really a pity not to have the choice...

with the past of the years and the blu ray introduced much more in the society maybe they do it.

I hope...
