Ayumi and richness
 

I read an article about tourism in Japan and I´m curious about an info.

It´s about the most famous cities of Japan to visit and Fukuoka was listed. The article said that Fukuoka is a cultural city and important in musical scenery, because many Japanese singers was born in Fukuoka and it listed some names and Ayumi, of course, was there. So the article said that Ayu is allegedly the most rich woman in Japan. Anyone knows if can be true?

Probably one of the richest solo female artists... not sure about women in general.

She is rich ! Probably in the top 5/10 among japanese singers but overall she isn't ! Look at this article by Forbes entitled "japan's 50 richest".

in 2002, shes is the highest tax payer?something like that and also the highest earning female singer,of course during her peak

I know Japan doesn't really release gross pay because its considered rude and they go by tax payer.
So the person that paid the most tax in a year made the most that year.
I don't think she has been in the top for awhile now, but she might be in the top 10?

But she is in top 10, she is rich. Last year she had profits in business.
