Vocaloid or Ayu?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0U6m7451rVk
I found this on youtube. Its supposed to be a vocaloid named Tiara, but it sounds an awful lot like Ayumi but I have never heard this song from her. Does anyone know what this is?

Sounds like they took Ayu's voice from her discography and edit it into this song... which doesn't sound bad but you can still tell that it's edited xD

Would actually be nice to hear Ayu's actual singing into this, it suits her.

The music at the beginning reminds me of HANABI from a-nation.
And the song - especially the chorus omg - somehow reminds me of No way to say.

I don't know why~ :laugh

lol that song is awesome. I think they did an awesome job though the start is like a HANABI theft XD

ayu should definitely cover it LOL

awww I'd love to hear Ayu do this song :(
sobbing into a bucket bc it reminds me of fated and it's not real

It's a song by the producer Tiara (てぃあら ). They must have made their own Ayu UTAU and named it Ayupoid for the 'popular artists' VOCALOID thing.

They have a bunch of their own songs out.

I believe she deleted the original, sadly. It was posted in 2011. It looks like they also based the intro on HANABI.

Oh! I was listening to this for the first time yesterday. I didn't know it'll emerge here in AHS too! I love it. The song is very ayuish. I hope there's an instrumental version of it.

I confirmed with my friend that this is indeed by Tiara / てぃあら ... but she has a bad habit of deleting stuff. Her VOCALOID work is very nice.

I can't put to words how much I hate vocaloids. They disrupt the whole concept of singing, and as someone who loves singing and singers who put PASSION in their singing I can't stand them. There are some things which just can't be replaced by machines. Such as emotions. This one sounds like ayu so good job but still it's so mechanical I feel I want to punch someone lol.

I'm in the same boat as you. I don't mind people making vocaloids and I don't think their work is meaningless, but I'm just unable to listen to it as proper music. In fact, I was quite unable to listen to this vocaloid for more than 30 seconds, the disjointed syllables and flat tone was just too much.
I have to say that this vocaloid only had a passing resemblance to Ayu's voice for me, I think a lot of it had to do with the way it "sung" the words. It's like the way different people speak with different inflections on certain words and construct the rhythm in their sentences, the vocaloid simply didn't sing the same way as Ayu in my ears (but as I said, this is only from listening to ~30 seconds of it, so my opinion doesn't count for much).

They're pretty good imo depending on who is using the program... in this case, they had to use clips of her voice in songs as the source material so it sounds extremely disjointed and robotic even if it sounds like Ayu.

The main use for them is to give people the ability to use a singer without actually hiring a singer which could take quite some time and/or money to do. With this, you can produce a song without needing to find anyone other than maybe some musicians to help with arrangement. It's opened the doors for a lot of music producers to do bigger and 'better' things with their careers thanks to being catapulted to fame with their VOCALOID work.

I hope Ayu collaborate with vocaloid someday, Just like Gackt did :D.

Did someone already make a translation of this song (since there are the lyrics on the video) ?
I think we should send it to Ayu and ask her to sing it properly. The song itself is very good and musically quite close to Ayu's universe.
