ABOUT Charisma.com
Quote:

Charisma.com was formed by MC Itsuka and DJ Gonchi in 2011.
Their poisonous lyrics, furious flow and electro‐tinged beats combine to create a genre-bending, explosive sound that’s resonating with Japan’s disillusioned Millennial Generation.
The duo has gained a reputation for raucous live shows, racking up 60 performances in 2013 including major Music Festival (such as BAYCAMP, ROCK IN JAPAN and MOTEKI NIGHTS).
In July 2013 their long‐awaited mini album “ai ai syndrome” went on sale to critical acclaim.
Upon release they found a wide audience with headline track “HATE” being pushed by Tower Records and major FM radio stations (such as FM802, J‐WAVE, Tokyo FM and Zip FM etc.).
Tie‐ups with renowned brands soon followed.

omg--a Charisma.com thread?! on my AHS?! AMAZING.

DISTopping is such a good album, seriously. Iinazuke blue made me fall madly in love with them...and the collab they did recently with TEMPURA KIDZ is amazing! What kind of 80s madness

Yoake 31st October 2014 11:58 PM

I knew them with DIStopping. Iinaduke blue is my favourite song too. The others were ok but not as great as that Iinazude blue.

Guys you should check out 歪LOVE from their mini album HATE, it's AMAZING!

sora-kara 2nd November 2014 01:44 AM

These girls are awesome! I have Ai-Ai Syndrome, and it is such a wicked album. Looking to order DIStopping sometime soon.
Thanks for making the thread!

Can't get enough of HATE, I think I like it even more than DIStopping :)

CatGirl 9th November 2014 12:31 AM

Would anyone be able to upload an album by them in the Downloads section please? :3 I watched both of their vids and they're seriously awesome. I wish I could rock grandma glasses that well lol

Maemi 9th November 2014 10:53 PM

They are releasing a new song in February!
http://natalie.mu/music/news/136724

Their collaboration with Tempura Kidz was one of the best releases in 2014, but they seem to be terribly underrated on this forum?

Miichan 4th April 2015 01:47 AM

A new song again

Yoake 4th April 2015 01:05 PM

The song is good. Just a bit repetitive. The pv is funny. Love the comic style.

From time to time those girls remind me Puffy. Not because of their sounds but because of their off the wall and funny side.

Miichan 4th April 2015 08:53 PM

I always saw them as a new Halcali, they're not very different from them.

sora-kara 6th April 2015 07:57 AM

^thats exactly why i gave them attention in the first place. i miss HALCAL so damn much ;__________-;

Yoake 10th April 2015 09:35 PM

My memory about Halcali is hazy. I remeber that I tried them when I really jumped into the Jpop world but I didn't like the few songs I listened to.

You should give them another try, what did you listen to from them? Don't give up on artists or groups after listening to few old tracks.

Yoake 11th April 2015 01:56 PM

I don't remember the titles of the songs I listened to. But as it was during my first steps into the Jpop world, the songs should be from 2006~2007 or maybe before that as I didn't pay attention to the date and just picked video randomly.

They had only released 2 studio albums before 2007, and some singles of course, they also switched labels in 05 so their sound changed a bit.
You may have been unlucky enough to land on one of their 05-06 singles, which I think are their worst, but I'm sure some people would disagree.
I'd recommend Tokyo Groove since it has some variety, Halcali Bacon is my favorite but Tokyo Groove is probably easier to get into.

Didn't really mean to turn this into a Halcali thread.

chocopockymaster 28th April 2015 03:42 PM

omg Kongara Girl is a serious bop :luv2 I love it!!!
