Is "Don't look back" Indian?
 

Does anyone know if the song itself draws from the Indian culture? Or is it more of a Middle East sound?

Also the fantastic live performance at AT 2010... I always thought the song was Indian, and her dress was very Indian-inspired, yet the dancers at the beginning looked pretty Arabic imo, so is the performance inspired by Indian culture or the Middle East culture?

Authentic sitar and tabla (Indian instruments) are used in the track played by guys familiar with the instrument whilst recorded in London. CMJK made a blog entry about the song with the details.

To me it sounds more Middle-Eastern than Indian. As did the Arena Tour performance.

The third instrument mentioned is a middle eastern instrumental..not necessary Indian.

I guess the performance is just a mish mash of the song's influences....like INSPIRE.
