JPop on Vinyl?

Hi there,

Does anyone predict any jpop released on vinyl?

Particularly Mika Nakashima, Ayu, BoA, Koda Kumi, Namie Amuro or Utada Hikaru?

I'm an avid collector and wish their discography was on vinyl...

I have everything really that I want right now for what's released, so was wondering if anyone thinks any anniversary vinyl releases would be a thing?

My dream to have all of Ayu's albums on vinyl *_*

Maybe there will be more Vinyl releases.
I think Sixxxxxx was released in Vinyl too though. (as a limited edition)

It was, I think it was sold at her tour, but that's her only album that's been released and some older ayu-mi-x albums

Yeah, I have them all :(

And she only released them from earlier in her career, I'd love some more singles and her albums for sure...

I regretfully have the ayu-mi-x 6 singles, but they are the worst remixes ever, lololol. sixxxxxx would be fine, but i want all her early 2000 stuff, same for boa and koda kumi, namie, etc. I hope releasing back catalogue becomes a thing :)

There wouldn't be much of a reason to have new albums on vinyl. Besides collecting and having the nice big artwork and just the fun of playing a record.
All the music is created digitally now and putting it on an analog format like vinyl wouldn't be best for sound quality.
But I still want Ayu on vinyl to add to the collection.:yes:luv2
I think they would only start doing it regularly if vinyl sales start rising like in the west. I'm not sure how interested Japan is in vinyl.:think

I have an extra copy of Mika's MUSIC album on vinyl (idk what happened; HMV Japan sent me two copies back in the day) if you're interested at all...?

You're trying to explain how vinyl works to the wrong person, haha.

Yeah, it really boils down to what vinyl sales are like in Japan... Also, wondering if the reopening of Sony's pressing plant in Tokyo after 28 years will impact the idea of releasing more vinyl in Japan... I know all of perfume's work including newer releases are being pressed on vinyl now due to the demand for vinyl. Just hope everyone jumps on the bandwagon and they start doing something like an "anniversary" type release... That always seems to be a good reason for the US to reissue albums on vinyl.

Here's hoping in the future it will become a thing :)
