Tabloids reporting rumors of retirement after Ayu turns 40
 

Not that there's a lot of value in it, but earlier today a lot of papers put out 'news' that rumors are swirling that Ayu will likely retire soon, announcing it at her 40th birthday.

Personally, I don't think it will happen, but the rumors are probably swirling for some reason in particular.

I think it's a total bs. She's always said that music is her life and she's been touring like crazy. I just don't see this happening at all. They also incorrectly state that her sales don't exceed 10 000 copies nowadays.

Well, since she was big, there were reports about abortions and all that too, lol. Retiring is something that comes up a lot but not like this, I guess.

If she's gonna retire, I guess it will be solely because of her hearing loss and I think it's not going to happen anytime soon, 'cause girl seems to be training so hard to sing and perform even with her trouble.

The article is written very gossipy and doesn't seem at all official, just pure speculation and probably was used as an excuse to get the name Namie Amuro into the article because her retirement news is what's getting all the clicks.

Also Namie was already doing REALLY FUCKING WELL before she announced the retirement that skyrocketed her sales even more, so i don't quite see the logic here with where Ayu is.
