'Dreamed a Dream' PV (Promotional Clip) on YouTube!

Mostly for consistency and visibility and also to remember just when it actually happened, PV for Dreamed a Dream is here too! Was randomly dropped alongside the FNS performance and was directed by Masashi Muto.

Director: Masashi Muto
Stylist: Kei Ito
Haute Couture: Masataka Kato
Makeup: Ryuji Nozaki
Hair: Tomoko Naka

Advicer/Advisor: Takako Tsuriya
Choreography: Koji Matsumoto
Special thanks: Tune:up/BONITO/Esnail
Performed by Ichiza

I love that she actually made a video and that she didn't even tease it other than the initial "muhuhus". I think she hinted at the rain too with the comments about her eyes/mouth being soaked or something.

I wonder if we'll ever be able to figure out what she's mouthing this time, it's way more than the Saigo no Trouble/Natsu no Trouble intro, lol.

Katsuyuki012 26th August 2020 09:48 PM

I love it so much, she's so fierce.

SunshineSlayer 27th August 2020 03:50 AM

Musashi Muto, yay! Finally a video that visually looks good again.

truehappiness 27th August 2020 04:34 AM

Yeah, he really does well with her. His last works were the Saigo no Trouble/Natsu no Trouble intro movie and M(A)DE IN JAPAN videos, all were rather good IMO. I wonder if he has basically replaced Wataru Takeishi for her.

I love the quality, but the long shots of her with the cape thing is sometimes just a bit strange. I wish they cut those shorter and didn't make her look ultra poreless. What you bracing for Ayu, Hurricane Laura?!

Would have loved more of a connection with the nun scene or something to tie it all in together visually, but this is based on one initial view. Is this the first video she's full on in choreograph danced in since 'Real Me'?

truehappiness 27th August 2020 06:28 AM

I think talkin' 2 myself is the other heavy choreo PV? And maybe Marionette.

In some shots of the PV I think she has the sort of 'filler-ish' face she had for Natsu no Trouble but then other shots are the usual Ayu face. Might be the new makeup artist though too.

kendelle 27th August 2020 12:32 PM

She worried me a little when she got off the ground but I loved this so much!!

When she did the routine I was so surprised and impressed, it looked so cool! I wonder if we'll get a part 2 in the future since the story felt kind of disjointed and incomplete. I still want to rewatch it a few more times though.

Theory time.......? The dancers are her cape because of their colour scheme and that they're following behind her in most shots?

Totally not the direction I expected the PV to go but I'm happy with what we got!!

I guess those are all of her PVs where she engages in some kind of choreographed dance number:

Real me
Inspire
talkin' 2 myself
Marionette
Green
Rule
ANother Song
Shake it
Lelio
Dreamed a Dream

I wish at least one more thing had happened in the PV since it's a tiny bit repetitive as it is, but I still liked it very much. She looks great and I'm so happy to see a coreography in one of her videos again :heart

Yeah I kind of felt like Ayu looked more like a mixture of middle aged Chinese actresses in most shots than Ayu as Ayu.

LMAO you even added Dream a Dream in your list. Totally just rewatchced all those videos in your list though! So nostalgic! Yes, there is some form of choreography in many of her videos, but I guess I should have rephrased it as in more intensive full body dance choreography rather than just a few arm movements, a shimmy or minimal simplified/modified dancing alongside her backup dancers. I know she's not a really a "dancer", but when she does commit to full on dance choreography like here in 'Dream a Dream', its always so impressive and I wish she did it more often. :love

I would say "impressive" to be a little too much, lol. But for a no dancer, her delivery is not the worst.

I love the nun scenes, she’s looking so good!

First video that came to mind, both videos everyone is dancing in an arena.

EndOfTheWorld 31st August 2020 08:47 AM

I enjoyed the new video. I just feel that it would have been much better if there was more going on. It takes a long time for something new to happen after all the shots of Ayu standing against the wind.
I'm really hoping for more music videos in the future. Maybe when the virus is over she can make even better videos without compromise.

SURREAL__RAINBOW 1st September 2020 09:51 AM

I was not expecting such a nice PV! I hope we get a full album with 6 quality pvs, minimum. I can only dream :P

love in music 4th September 2020 12:05 AM

lol this video was popping up in my recommended for a while and I never clicked because I thought it was a k-pop boyband video. didn't even notice ayu in the thumbnail.
anyway the video isn't bad, it's a bit boring/bland but better than some of her other recent videos. talkin' 2 myself did it better tbh but still not bad.

Let’s be real, it’s a Rain on Me rip. I don’t have the energy to produce side by sides.

Let's be real, the only Rain on me rip we shall talk about

^Yesss I saw this a few weeks ago, it’s so good.

Evolution7/4 5th September 2020 05:30 AM

The odango :roflmao when I saw Lady Gaga live in Japan in 2012 Naomi was there and was pratically mobbed outside of the arena! We were in the same GA standing section and she had to sit on the floor before the show started so people wouldn't see her. It was amazing seeing her watch Gaga starry-eyed!
