According to Yomiuri, Ayu, SMAP, and about 1000 others attended the funeral of the late Noboru Shinoda.

Please forgive me, but who may I ask is Noboru Shinoba-san?

I hate asking this.....but how did he die?

He died from a problem with his liver (or more precisely, hepatic insufficiency) :(

Ah noooo... he directed such great movies as All about lily Chou Chou and Swallowtail butterfly... damn it. ;_;
Ah and btw. he was Director of production of ayu's movie Tsuki Ni shizumu... and guessing from that article there at Yomiuri he died of hepatic insufficiency... :/

He directed "Tsuki Ni Shizumu"?! Wow....I guess Ayu sang "Voyage" at his funeral then? :yfrown

I didn't know he directed that movie til now. I could see why Ayu went to the funeral :(

The director of "Tsuki Ni Shizumu" is Isao Yukisada. Mr. Shinoda was the cinematographer.

Yeah ok, my bad. On the Tsuki box it says D.O.P. So it was director of photography not production... but oh well. ;)

uhhh .. i don't think people perform at funerals ....... especially stars ... lol

I think Elton John performed at Princess Diana's funeral... Well, yeah but shes a princess not a cinematographer... ^^;;

Boy, would I love for Ayu to perform at my funeral... Well only if I predeceased her... x_x...

I know it's stupid of me to notice, but Ayu dressed in an all-black suite. How appropriate. (really. I'm not being sarcastic).
