where did u buy ayu's CDs?

i found out somebody or maybe lots of ayu fans buy ayu's CDs from yesasia...i think maybe it's the only way to buy the cds and the DVDs,i've searched "hamasaki ayumi" in amazon.com , but theres only 'bout 3~4 cds only, and also in a very high price (yeah,it's really high!) for "RAINBOW",it cost about $1500NT,gosh....this price i can buy perhaps 2 or more "RAINBOW DVD-Audio"....

by the way, anybody here have bought the "RAINBOW DVD-Audio"?
for this freaky stuff,i bought a 5.1ch home thetre system last year...(support DVD-A & SACD) and guess what...i think this dvd-a it's quit xpensive....we don't have any oversea's version of any DVD-A from Avex Trax JP here in Taiwan,so i bought this disc cost almost $700NT for the imported version,i thought it was cheap when i got this stuff, but there's only ONE song that was 5.1ch,that's "RAINBOW" the song ,for the other tracks from the "Rainbow" album, were only 2.0ch.....it sucks...i don't think so the other tracks from the DVD-A will sounds good than the CD....

eBay is where I got most of my cds.

I'm not sure if anyone has the DVD-Audio version of RAINBOW, though. :shrug But it doesn't hurt to check.

I get 65% from YesAsia, 20% from eBay, and 15% from a taiwanese bookstore that's just 15~30 mins. from our apartment.

cdjapan

I've bought my Ayu CDs from various places.

Online
yesasia
cdjapan
eBay

Brick-n-Mortar
Kinokuniya
Asahiya
Book-off

As far the the DVD audio version of Rainbow, that kinda sucks that only one song was in 5.1. I'm not an audiophile by any means so I probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference in quality. Although, I'd like to hear what "Rainbow" sounds like in surround sound. My Kinokuniya has it...and now I'm somewhat tempted to pick it up. >_>

It might end up costing the same as YesAsia - shipping from Japan to Europe is expensive, and can take longer to arrive. The last time I got sent something from Japan it took 3 weeks to arrive. I'd rather pay cheaper shipping costs at YesAsia and have it arrive earlier.

Mostly from Bookoff, but sometimes from ebay, and once from the Japanese amazon site.

hightea_xx 7th August 2004 05:30 AM

usually from yesasia or ebay. ebay only for lots, or if i'm looking for something specific that yesasia doesn't have or if it's rediculously cheap. cdjapan, i HATE with a passion. their CDs are cheaper, but you have to pay for shipping...and then duty taxes when they arrive too. yesasia, i have never had to do that. plus, with cdjapan, it took FOREVER to get here. I made an order, and it took a month before it's arrival, and it was in the country for 2 weeks and i was notified. but i think that was more customs...but still. i'm a little iffy about mail now, since that stupid customs thing, but whatever. i really recommend yesasia, especially now with their 39$ free shipping, rather than the 49$! :D
