Maki Goto has been awarded Nail Queen for 2004. She attended the ceremony on the 29th.
I seriously thought Ayu was going to win.
Maki Goto said:

歌手、後藤真希（１９）が２００４年度ネイルクイーン（日本ネイリスト協会主催）のアーティスト部門に選ば れ２９日、都内で行われた・#092;彰式に出席した＝写真。

　衣装も靴も指先もピンクに統一したゴマキは「きょうはラブリーで、女の子っぽくしてみました」とニッコリ 。来年２０歳になるが、「ちょっとずつ大人の女性になりたい」と語った。

　協会特別賞を受賞したタレント、工藤静香（３４）はネイルに「ぶり大根が焦げるぐらい時間かかった」と報 道陣を笑わせた。夫のＳＭＡＰ、木村拓哉（３２）が声優を務めた映画「ハウルの動く城」について「ぜひ見た い」と語った。

　タレント部門は井上和香（２４）、メンズ部門はＫＡＢＡ・ちゃん（３５）、女優部門は黒谷友香（２８）が 受賞した。

Congrats to her! I really thought that Ayu would win that type of thing cuz she's always with different pretty nails all the way but still congrats to her then ^^

i would of though ayu would of won too.... i fink ayu makes a big deal for her nails jus like her outfit n make up... i fink it should of gone to ayu....

Nails are quite popular in Japan.. Ayaka, my friend, had flowers painted on her nails and that got me into nail jewelry :laugh
