If you're wondering who squall is, he's the main character from Final Fantasy VIII. These pics of gackt always remind me of squall somehow, does anyone else think the same?

Gackt has said in interviews that he believes the people at Squaresoft used his image in creating Squall.

Almost any male anime/game character resembles Gackt in some way Or it goes the other way round too. Even Hisoka from Hunter X Hunter.

Yes he does look like Squall. I thought that before but I just never mentioned it or anything to anybody else.

Well...the main designer for Square...Tetsuya...Nomura? I Think, I forgot his name said that he really liked gackt [non secksual] before FFVII... so who knows?

Not only does Squall sorta resemble Gackt, but so does Tidus ((from FFX)). Gackt's... "Kimi ga Oikaketa" days.

I never actually saw the resemblence for this one. THere's something about the angles in Squalls face that say 'no' for me. I always thought he looked more like Tidus.

They actually wrote in Animerica magazine that Squall was based on him
